Steps for troubleshooting
▪ Go to the account name from the front window and right click on it. This will open the properties of your account. ▪ Open the server tab and check the username and the email address. It must be written in the correct sequence. ▪ Uncheck the checkbox which says, ‘Login using clear text authentication’.
▪ Go to ‘My server requires authentication’ option and enable it. ▪ Go to ‘advanced’ menu now and open the SSL settings. Click the checkbox which says, ‘Server requires secure connection’. ▪ Change the outgoing port number to 465. ▪ Click ‘Apply’ and press ‘OK’. Go to ‘Mediacom com login’ and try signing onto an account with the changed settings.
â–Ş Note: It is important to mention here that you need to delete all the messages which are available in the outbox folder. Now, wait for some seconds till it gets refreshed. Open the mail and try composing a new mail with a particular subject. If you still encounter the same problem, then call at given support number.
