3.Roof Level plant Supports: Our drawings have from the outset recommended and required structural supports for plant which are properly weathered, seeking to avoid plant on ‘big foot’ or similar standing on roof finishes which cannot then be maintained in future. This requirement is not being followed; we get requests to use ‘big foot’ rather than the Nicholson Plant Support on our drawings. We do not recommend this arrangement due to the Landlord’s future maintenance risk. We seek a clear direction from the CA on this issue. If our drawings are to be followed, then we require full co-ordinated setting out of plant so the roofing contractor can install the specified supports.
