Volume 1 Issue 3
“Enjoying God 24/7” Inside this issue: I believe the ultimate aim and purpose of our lives is to Glorify God and Enjoy him forever! The best way to Glorify God is by enjoying him forever! As John Piper writes, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.” We were created for Glory, to know His glory with our minds, and treasure his glory with our hearts! God created us to know and enjoy His Glory, and in this way, display it’s supreme value and worth! The Glory of God is the Supreme JOY of His People. He longs to fascinate us with all that he is, to exhilarate us with his dynamic personality, and move our hearts with his outrageous love! And the acid test to whether we are experiencing the Glory of God is JOY! Joy is unique in it’s capacity to witness to what we treasure. God’s aim is that we reflect and display the worth of His Glory to all those around us! John 15:9-11 (ESV), “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”
Jesus says he loves and enjoys us with the same measure of love and enjoyment that the Father has in him! As we enjoy God enjoying us, we will experience his joy in us! As we obey his commandments, loving God and loving others, an explosion of joy erupts in our hearts! This joy is our strength! As we live in light of eternity, we count it all joy whenever we face various trials, and take great joy whenever we are persecuted, and falsely accused knowing that our reward is great in heaven! Jesus asked the Father in John 17 that we would experience the fullness of His joy in our hearts! He longs to give us oils of joy instead of mourning(Isa. 61:2) He desires to bring forth streams of joy and gladness into the place of wilderness, and struggle in our lives.(Isa. 35:1-2, 11) “For there is a river that makes Glad the city of God, the Holy Habitation of God!”(Ps. 46:4) As David prophesied of the Lord Jesus in Psalm 16:11 (ESV), “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

You might be asking how does this relate to prayer? As Isaiah 56:6-7 (ESV) says, “ these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer…for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.” It’s God’s desire that we be a house of prayer for all nations, a people of prayer and he promises that He will make us Joyful in his house of prayer! Amen, so let it be! It is our great desire at Light of the World Prayer Center to become a habitation of the Lord, a place where he would be pleased to dwell! Through Worship-fed, Spirit-led, and Scripture based prayer meetings, we hope that God will be Glorified, as we Enjoy Him 24/7! Light of the World
Global Day of Prayer 2010 We just returned a few weeks ago from a historic gathering in Herrnhut, Germany, the birthplace of Protestant missions, and 24/7 prayer! In the Spirit of Acts 1 we wanted to gather together from many nations to wait on the Lord, in prayer and worship, asking God for a greater Pentecost across the nations of the earth! Representing 20 different nations, from America, to Australia, to the UK, to Chile, Peru, Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Canada, to Brazil, Togo, to Alaska, Hawaii, and many from Germany, we experienced a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. For 5 days we gathered in continual 24/7 prayer, taking breaks for meals, and then launched a 2day conference with James Goll, John Hammil, and Jason Hubbard, culminating on Pentecost Sunday. We had two YWAM worship teams from the Kona base, largest Ywam base in the world. On Sunday the entire Herrnhut YWAM base which is the second largest in the world, joined us for the Global Day of Prayer gathering! On Pentecost Sunday, the Global Day of Prayer, the fire of God fell! The hunger for God was incredible! God came and marked worshippers, intercessors, and missionaries with the vision to keep the fire on the altar of our hearts and our ministries! Many felt the call to raise up houses of prayers in the spirit of the Moravians, received deep encounters from the Lord, and came together as an ‘international family of affection!’ We had an incredible moment of reconciliation between several Anabaptists/Mennonites, and spirit-filled Amish brothers, that came asking forgiveness of the Moravians. A 200yr stronghold was broken! It was truly a remarkable time for the Praise of His Glory!
Intercessory Missionaries We are excited to announce that we have brought on two intercessory missionaries, Jonathan Taft and Shannon Williamson. They will raise their own support to work as prayer missionaries who reach out to others from a lifestyle of prayer and worship, motivated by passion for Jesus and compassion for people. This model is inspired by David’s tabernacle, where 4,000 singers and 288 musicians were employed as their full-time occupation to minister to the Lord and serve the community (1 Chr. 23:5; 25:7). They will be in the prayer room approx. 24hrs per week, plus 5-10hrs of bible study each week, becoming scholars of the knowledge of Jesus in the Scriptures, and another 10-15hrs developing an area of service and ministry to the poor. 24/7 prayer and worship-seeking intimacy with God and crying out for justice
Operation Rolling Thunder and Transformation 5 years ago we launched an prayer campaign in Whatcom County called Operation Rolling Thunder (ORT). ORT is based on Psalm 18:6-18 where King David cried out in prayer and the Lord thundered from heaven in response. We are asking the churches in our county to blanket this area with nonstop prayer and worship. Our goal is to identify 31 local churches by the end of 2010! We currently have 20 churches that take a minimum of one day once a month to pray 24/7, taking “prayer shifts” to ensure round-the-clock prayer. We have established 7 transformation task force teams in each of the 7 spheres of society in Whatcom County, business, government, education, media, family, health, and church. These teams provide us with key items for prayer, that are gathered and compiled into a prayer guide that we post in our prayer room and sent out to the prayer coordinators participating in ORT! We use these prayer focus items to track measurable results of transformation to the Glory of God!

Kristie’s Corner A heartfelt thank you to those who sent cards, provided meals and covered our family in prayer after my Mom passed away in March. Sometimes there are no words that can express how much that kind of support and love means. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t miss Mom, yet God has drawn me closer to Him on this journey of grief. I am grateful to have had the time that I did with her and rest in the truth that she is now pain free in God’s arms. Several people have asked me what my role will be at LOWPC. There are a variety of ways that I can serve including volunteering my time in the office, taking an hour or two to pray each week, making refreshments for the Encounter God services, assisting Jason with his schedule and mentoring young women. While I look forward to serving in these ways, my primary goal is to be the wife that God created me to be, and a tender and caring mom to our precious kids. I believe in the mission and values of LOWPC and have been in awe at how the Lord is working through it for His purposes! I am excited to be serving with Jason and praise God for this opportunity!
Prayer is Intimacy with God that leads to the fulfillment of his purposes accomplished by his power and for his Glory!

“Exalting Jesus 24/7”
God’s Word is our Authority •
Scripture teaches that night and day prayer is crucial to release the fullness of God’s power and purpose (Lk. 18:7– 8; Isa. 62:6–7). We are offering Jesus unceasing adoration, while contending for justice and the power of the Holy Spirit to be manifest, bringing forth transformation in the seven spheres of society.
Donate Kristie and I stepped out last September to raise support as prayer missionaries and help direct LOWPC. God has been faithful and we are thankful to all who have committed to support us financially. At this stage we are in greater need of monthly financial support and would like to ask that you consider partnering with us in prayer and finances. We have established a 501c-3 and you will receive a tax-deductible receipt at the end of the year. If you would like to give financially, please write checks out to LOWPC and send Light of the World Prayer Center 2115 Barkley Blvd Suite 100 Bellingham WA 98226 Or You can give an on-line donation at www.lowpc.org
