It’s been a long time com‑ ing, but it appears a completed secondary plan for the Village of Manotick is on track to ac‑ tually being completed this year. And as the consultation process to draft a secondary plan for Manotick – which is like an official community plan for the village within the official community plan for the City of Ottawa as a whole ‑ it

week to review the status of the plan in advance of a final public consultation meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 27 at the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority Building (3889 Rideau Valley Dr.). “It’s a big deal. It’s very important to have one in place and we haven’t had one for a while,” Beltzner said. “It re‑ ally lays out the direction of how we are going to grow and evolve.” And what Beltzner has seen so far of the plan is in line with what he said resi‑ dents of Manotick want – and that is that the village feel of the area be reconfirmed. “We will be supporting it,” he said of the plan, adding un‑ less something emerges out of the blue that has not been part of the discussions so far.
