Personal Interests
Some of my personal interests include restoring old furniture, traveling and photography. I enjoy finding old worn out funriture and making them feel like new again. I believe I have this passion with my dreams of being an interior designer, I want to make a space new again. I studied abroad my fall semester junior year of college and since then I can’t wait to see where I can go next, traveling sparked an interest in me I have never really had. Photography. I loved capturing moments in Rome that I would like to remember forever. This included the countless beautiful architecture and astonishing doorways. Something so simple yet so beautiful is how I feel about my designs. I make sure I focus on little details just as much as the overal space.

CLIENT
CONCEPT
The concept of this Danish Resturaunt is an abstract form of an open face sandwich, which is a very popular item in Denmark, I used the layering aspect of the sandwiches and got inspiration from the shapes of toppings on top of the sandwich.
The client of this project was orginally from Denmark and moved to this building in Philadelphia with his mother and daughter. They occupy a space above the resturaunt. They wanted the resturant to be a hip place that represent their home country through materials, colors and design.

The goal of this project was to create an accessible space that pleases senior, children and staff. This space needed a great room with a reading space, learning space and an open convertible space. Also needed was a senior lounge, kitchen/dining, craft room, meeting room and staff corridors. This space had to include two bathrooms and two ADA bathrooms.
CLIENT
CONCEPT
The concept of my senior child mentor center is “connecting cultures through growth. Our country and other countries are so culturally diverse because of trade. Trade between countries is usually over waterways, which involves shipping containers. The shipping containers are used as the circulation of this space thus connected the rooms together. I represented growth through the interior garden, the garden is used to bring the seniors and children together. Also growth is shown by the way I reused the materials given to us.

CLIENT
CONCEPT
The concept of my showroom is based off of one of emilio pucci’s prints, focusing on a centralized burst that breaks off into the three dimension.
For this project I had to design a showroom for a high end fashion designer, my choice as Emilio Pucci. We were given a pre-existing building in the heart of Rome, Italy. With this project we were supposed to either be true to the building in our own sense. I decided to play off of the church aspect and have a center “nave” with the seating being different offices that contrast with the pre-exisiting structure.

CONCEPT
The concept of my bookstore is created from microscopic photos of cancer cells, focusing of five different three-dimensional “Pods that are acceded by a way finder pathway.
My client is a retired oncologist, specializing in breast cancer. He enjoys to research cancer cells, his favorite to research, is of course, breast cancer cells. The types of genre he likes to read are Scientific. Specifically Research Articles, Scientific Journals, Biographies, Science Magazines, Encyclopedias, Medical Journals and even Science-Fiction. He wanted to create a bookstore that could help spread cancer awareness and also raise money with a percentage of books sold.

The concept of this design allows for a slippage of creativity to flow out of the creative work space into the uninspiring offices with the use of sliding planes. Most of the sliding planes can be found in or around the creative space and few found around the rest of the office. The creative space is also full of color representing creativity while the offices are white, gray and black representing the dull aspect of that field. There are some elements in the offices that have the same bright color to represent that the slippage had occurred and the creativity seeped out.

CONCEPT
Ad Agency
This building is a three thousand plus square foot building with sloping roofs ideal for solar energy collection. It has a vast open plan with a lot of window opportunities. The client for this project is a full service advertising agency, which needs to balance organization and research with creativity. This firm strives towards environmentally friendly media so the design has to reflect that value. This should include an overall “green design approach.
