You’ll then visit the 1902 memorial to learn Pelee Volcano history and eruption. Exploration continues through the rainforest to one of the best distilleries. This distillery is at the foot of Mount Pelée, benefitting from a special type of agricultural ground for sugar cane harvest. The rum of Martinique has a controlled designation of origin similar to wines and spirits, and it is the sole unique appellation of rum in the entire world. You’ll visit of the Castle (the Master House) and the see rum-making process as well as a tasting.
