‘Our little superhero leaves a big legacy’ Tributes to Lee, 8, after cancer battle TRIBUTES have been paid to Lee Belgium, from Lyde Green, who has died after a three-year battle with cancer. His parents Clare and Simon and family and friends held a vigil outside Bristol Children’s Hospital after eightyear-old Lee’s death and his funeral at Westerleigh Crematorium was due to have a superhero theme. The family had raised nearly £80,000 towards paying to take Lee to Turkey for treatment but the plans were put on hold in early April when he took a turn for the worse. He lost his fight for life on April 8. Clare and Simon now plan to set up a charity using the money raised in Lee’s name. Clare told the Voice: “Lee died from a horrible fungus infection that took over his beautiful face and throat. “He fought so much – his little body was tired.” Turn to Page 5
