I have always had a desire to capture the true and intimate essence of someone’s life through photography, rather than just focusing on physical beauty.

I remember the day I met Martin like it was yesterday. It was April 8, 2023, and I had been looking forward to it for weeks. I had previously met him in my Berlin Photography community towards the end of 2021 and had been struck by his unique perspective on life. He was someone who truly embraced the beauty in the mundane, and I knew that I wanted to capture that essence through my photography.

So when I asked on my social media if anyone was available to spend time with me taking pictures and capturing their daily life, Martin was the first person who came to mind. We spent a day together in the Kudamm area of Berlin, taking a walk and enjoying coffee. As I snapped pictures of him, I couldn’t help but feel like I was capturing something truly special.

Unfortunately, life got in the way, and we haven’t been able to meet often since then. But every time I see him in the streets of Berlin, I’m reminded of that day and the connection we shared. And I know that someday, when the time is right, we’ll be able to capture more of those intimate moments together.
