Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2012
Nisimazine Almost 18 In both Tallinn and Tartu the screening rooms fill up every night for the films in the Black Nights Festival. We are also doing our fair share of movie watching and today we’re bringing you our second newsletter which is all about young misfits. Films dedicated to teenagers seem to develop more and more into a genre of their own. For this newsletter we reviewed Almost 18, a Finnish story of coming of age centred on a group of 5 friends. In For Ellen we follow a character that is not quite ready himself to accept the responsibilities of adulthood. We also interviewed Jan Ole Gerster about his film, Oh boy, which was received with much enthusiasm by the Black Nights audience.
