Amour Fou
Bouzid Amel
Founded in 2001, AMOUR FOU Vienna, realize artistically exceptional feature, documentary and short films for the international market with international and, most frequently, European partners. Throughout the process AMOUR FOU stands for vision and pushing the envelope, whether in regard to aesthetics, production or distribution strategies. The focus lies on European independent auteur cinema and the distinctive “handwriting” of the directors who work with AMOUR FOU. In 2003 AMOUR FOU was invited to Cannes with four films: Struggle by Ruth Mader, No Rest For the Brave by Alain Guiraudie, Fast Film by Virgil Widrich and In the Beginning was the Eye by Bady Minck. In 2006 György Pálfi’s Taxidermia was shown in Un Certain Regard and in the same year It happened just before by Anja Salomonowitz was awarded the Caligari Prize at the Berlinale. Anja Salomonowitz’s recent creative documentary The 727 Days without Karamo received the Silver Eye Award in Jihlava and János Szász’s visualization of the novel The Notebook by Agota Kristof was awarded the Grand Prix Crystal Globe at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The Casanova Variations by Michael Sturminger (with John Malkovich and Veronica Ferres) is currently in production.
Novak Prod is a Belgian independent production company focusing in developing and producing art-house fictions and documentaries for the national/international audience. Since its creation in 2001, Novak prod has been involved in the co-production of various feature lengths: The Buffalo Boy by Nghiem-Minh Nguyen Vô (2004), Outside -the-Law by Rachid Bouchareb (20010), The Hot Potato by Tim Lewiston (2011), A song for my Mother by Joel Franka (2013), The Taste of Blueberries by Thomas de Thier (2014), and the currently shooting b&w film Je me tue à le dire by Xavier Seron. As for the short format, Lagy Eso (Soft Rain) by Denes Nagy, premiering at The Director’s Fortnight in 2013, was the company first coproduction with Hungary, the second is with Tunisia, And Romeo married Juliette by Hinde Boujemaa (in post production).

Born in Italy in 1982, holds a bachelor degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of Trieste (Italy), and a Master in Arts and Heritage Management from the London Metropolitan University. She has been working for Cineuropa.org – the first European cinema portal dedicated to cinema and audio-visual - since 2006. Elisa has covered several roles at Cineuropa: project manager, coordination assistant, partnership liaison officer, researcher and journalist. She is now working on a new platform called Cineuropa Shorts. The new website aims at promoting and giving more visibility to European short films, to their creators and to all related events. Cineuropa Shorts will be a useful tool and an interesting reading for young filmmakers, as well for professionals and wider audience. Elisa also works as producer assistant. She is currently based in Frankfurt am Main.
Tim Jansen is a creative producer from Belgium. After studying Audiovisual Arts, he went to University to study History of Art. The experience working in music management and theatre-production lead to an all-round production training in Arts Campus at deSingel in Antwerp. After that he made his first steps in film production at Mindsmeet. He began working for two years on the feature film “Lost Persons Area” (Best Scenario Cannes). In 2011 he started a production company Amorarte Filmhouse where he worked as producer, art director and production designer. Besides producing short films and music videos with Amorarte , he works as a freelance production designer. Tim was art director of the David Bowie-hommage “DAVE” by Soulwax/2manydj’s. He just finished producing “Springtide”, a short by Jeannice Adriaansens.

Bert Lesaffer (°1983) has a master in psychology and in film studies. He worked for MEDIA Desk Belgium – Flemish Community for five years, until September 2013. MEDIA Desk is the local representative of MEDIA, the support programme of the European Commission for the audiovisual industry. After that, he started as programme and communication manager for KASKcinema, an arthouse cinema in Ghent. It’s located within the school of arts, where he also runs a course teaching film students the necessary skills to work in the industry. Bert also writes movie reviews for the online magazine KUTsite, has written and directed four plays, is working on his first feature length script and has just started up his own production company Animal Tank.

BELGIUM involved in a wide range of animation projects: short - medium length - and feature film, TV series, TV-leaders, trailers, commercials, etc. With projects getting bigger and more intense, Ben’s focus started shifting more to producing and directing. Usually teaming up with Steven.
Tesseur Ben Ben Tesseur (Belgium) graduated in 1996 as an animation director at RITS, a Brussels based film academy. After his studies, Ben became part of a Belgian avant-garde movement with international character, combining art, fashion, dance and music in multidisciplinary events. Besides exhibiting his own work, Ben organized the artistic side of the events: scouting and selecting artists from over the world, to offer them a platform. A few years later Ben got involved in several stopmotion productions, such as the cult series ‘Panique au Village’ by Stephane Aubier en Vincent Patar. There he bumped in to his old school fellow Steven De Beul.
For example, they’ve produced the short film ‘Oh Willy…’ by Emma De Swaef en Marc James Roels. They’ve co-produced the feature film and Christmas special of ‘Panique au Village’ by Stephane Aubier en Vincent Patar. Ben and Steven directed and produced several commercials, TV-leaders and a TV-series. In the beginning of 2014 Ben and Steven are co-directing and co-producing ‘Dimitri’ by Agnes Lecreux. A TV-Special and a TV series, produced in cooperation with the French studio ‘Vivement Lundi’. While, simultaneously, new projects are in pre-production and development. www.beastanimation.be
In 2004 Ben Tesseur and Steven De Beul founded ‘Beast Animation’, a facility and executive company specialised in stopmotion animation. Ben works on all kinds of projects executing a wide range of tasks: animator, set builder, art director, 1st AD, studio manager etc. In 2007 Ben and Steven decided to additionally create an independent production company specialised in stop motion animation. Katya Trichkova has graduated Law and Film and TV directing. During her study at the National Film Academy she worked as an assistant director for many TV commercials and short films. At Apriori Production House she expanded her experience as an assistant-producer. In 2009 she became a founder and manager of Contrast Films– a production company based in Sofia, aimed at supporting independent film and theatrical productions. Since 2011 she is also working as producer in close collaboration with the Bulgarian Director Stephan Komandarev (‘The world is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner’, among the 9 Short Listed foreign films for 2009 Oscar Award). In 2011 she participated in Sarajevo Talent Campus and Kyoto Filmmakers Lab.

He graduated acting in 1990 and film production in 2009 from the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. Prior to Nukleus fully consumed his focus and time, he worked as the journalist, editor and producer at Radio 101, which was one of the most influential radio stations in the territories of ex-Yugoslavia. He was also founding member of Omladinska televizija (Youth TV - OTV) working as one of the producers and later in charge of programming. During the war in former Yugoslavia served as the news and documentary producer for Visnews (todays Reuters TV), ZDF, BBC Radio and Television and Nippon TV, which is the biggest private TV network in Japan. Peace» film, won annual British award for best documentary. In 1998 together with director Vinko Brešan, produced 11’ film in 360 degrees technique, film that represented Croatia 8
CROATIA in Lisbon at EXPO 98 exhibition. Film was screened by over one million viewers.
Radeljak Matija
Recently lecturing documentary production and project management at the Academy of Drama Arts in Zagreb and High College of Samobor and doing case studies at EURODOC, Co-production Market Leipzig and exOriente training programs.
Matija is a writer/ producer working in his own Zagreb based production company Aning Film. Actively making films since 2008 Matija is a versatile creative producer with a portfolio of projects that range from short’s to feature films, in a fiction, documentary and experimental form. Coming from a 12-year stage acting young hood, Matija’s projects reflect his struggle to not only deal with his own challenges, but to find a system that will solve such a problem on a global scale. Telling stories using film as a tool is the first, but still just one of the options that are in his arsenal on a daily basis while he, as he’d say himself, changes the world, or at least really tries to. A portfolio of projects alongside films include professional training programs, filmmaking workshops for children, crowd funding campaigns, distribution platforms, events and internet based storytelling experiments. Matija often mentors motivated filmmakers and is always looking for a new energy that will face him with a new challenge. He is currently working on a number of European co-productions as well as his own independent productions and commercial projects.

Short bio After graduating in economics at VERN School of entrepreneurship in Zagreb, and while studying film production at The Academy of Dramatic Art, he started working in production with several production companies, dealing with film, TV and commercials (Croatia film, Digitel). He also took part in the organization of major film festivals in Croatia (ZFF, Zagrebdox) and other cultural events. In 2010 he became a partner of Sekvenca, where he returned to develop film projects by young, perspective writers and directors. As Sarajevo Talent Campus alumni 2012, he was selected as a producer at Sarajevo City of Film project in 2013, where he produced three short films by international authors.
Danny Holman is an English producer based in Prague, Czech Republic. He spent 10 years setting up and running the development department for international production company Stillking Films, working with many top writers and directors and was creative executive on HBO Europe’s groundbreaking series Terapie (2011). He is currently a producer with Bionaut Films, working on several major TV series and films.

Jenni is a freelance creative producer and filmmaker with napafilms oy. At napafilms she’s producing Mother, directed by Otto Kylmälä (Euro Connection 2014). Her other filmmaking credits include various experiences in Finland and in Australia as producer, director and screenwriter on short films, documentaries, web-series and music videos. Currently Jenni’s writing her first feature about a loveless woman. Production Company Bio napafilms was established in 2009. napafilms is mainly experienced in documentary filmmaking, both short and feature-length. Tolmunen Ilona MADE MADE is a Helsinki based production company focusing on the films on the borderline between documentary and fiction. The aim is to make strong, ambitious films with filmmaker’s own voice for the audiences both in Finland and internationally. MADE was founded by the producers from production company MJÖLK together with Ulla Simonen to serve as the documentary and art house arm. MADE has began to develop both fiction and documentaries form the beginning of 2011. MADE has produced two feature documentaries: Alcan Highway (2013) is a roadmovie directed by Aleksi Salmenperä and a love story Garden Lovers (2014) directed by Virpi Suutari. Ilona Tolmunen is a freelancer producer who is working in MADE at the moment. She has graduated as a Bachelor in Media from Tampere School of Art, Music and Media. She has produced her thesis work, short film Wolf Carver with director Aino Suni. Wolf Carver has travelled prestigious film festivals including ClermontFerrand and was broadcasted by Canal + in France. At the moment Ilona is studying her Masters in Aalto University, ELO Film School Helsinki. She has worked with several short films, few TVshows and was a 12

Csinidis Jean-Laurent Jean-Laurent Csinidis was born in 1981 in Marseille. Since 2006, he has been working as producer in Austria/Luxembourg (Amour Fou) and France, and has specialized in European coproduction. In 2010, he creates and becomes the manager of Films de Force Majeure (France). He is EAVE Film Finance Forum Graduate and a member of EDN. “ Born in Belgium, I studied Linguistics and Film, Theatre, Literature Theory at the University of Antwerp, then got a Master degree in Culture Management and Film Production at Sciences Po Paris. I completed attending the Atelier Ludwigsburg Paris, an education focusing on European coproduction aimed at making 18 young European producers work together. In this frame, I managed the production of a short film for ARTE, Von Vorne. I worked in various positions always in the film production field. Last year I have been in charge of the line production of three shorts among which one documentary for LA LUNA PRODUCTIONS, the company I work for regularly. We are currently working on several projects including a feature film to be shot in 2014.”
David Guiraud was born in 1984 on the French Riviera, where he still lives. After a bachelor in Cinema at La Sorbonne in Paris, he was assistant director on the French motion pictureLe Serpent (2005), which scored almost 800.000 entries at the French Box Office. In early 2008, he co-founded, at only 23 years old, the Cannes-based production company AD ASTRA FILMS, in order to produce his first short film: The Danaides’ barrel. This dream-like film, where aesthetics and body language are meaningful, is directly influenced by renowned directors such as Werner Herzog, Kim Ki-duk or Michael Mann. It has been selected in more than 20 countries by 40 international film festivals. David Guiraud is also the director of commercials for AdAstra Films. He finishes his second short film, “L’Assistante” in summer 2012 and is currently preparing a new film: a social film “En Proie”

Belinda Leduc founded fase films at the end of 2013 to produce features and short films with authors she has been working with at la fémis. She works since 2012 with producer arnaud dommerc (andolfi) on the feature film “des étoiles” by dyana gaye and other projects in development.
François Morisset is born in Paris (France) in 1984. After graduating as a telecommunication engineer, he worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers for three years. Then he took part in the “Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris” organized by the Film Academy BadenWürttemberg and La Fémis. He worked in different production, distribution and world sales companies (Sophie Dulac Production/Distribution, Coproduction Office, Global Screen, DCM,.. ) and on the main film markets (Cannes Film Market, EFM at Berlinale). Since 2007, he has produced and distributed a score of short films selected in international festivals (Cannes Director’s Fortnights, Locarno, Rotterdam, San Sebastian,…) and broadcast on television (ARTE, NWR, France Television, RTP2, …).
FRANCE Salam Jawad Salam Jawad is a French Producer born in Bagdad. She creates her own company in 2007, OROK films. She has to her credit many short films and documentaries. She’s developping today several feature films projects.

Bökemeyer Sara
Eicke Bettinga studied Directing at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in the UK. He has written and directed a number of award winning short films, a documentary and a drama for German television. Three of his shorts have been selected at the Festival de Cannes: Shearing (2002 in Cinéfondation), Together (2009 in Semaine de la Critique) and most recently Gasp (2012 in Competition, nominated for the Palme d’or). Eicke is a former ESP participant and writer/director of “Chain”. He is currently working on his feature film debut.
Sara Bökemeyer was born in 1986 in Oranienburg. After high school she worked for local newspapers and TV stations as well as for student film projects. Since 2007 she studied Culture Studies and Linguistics in Berlin. During her studies she gathered practical experiences in the fields of visual and performing arts as well as in cultural management. Since 2012 she works for DETAiLFILM, a young production company based in Hamburg and Berlin, Germany. With DETAiLFILM she works as a junior producer for different short and feature film projects, including the short RHINO FULL THROTTLE directed by Erik Schmitt, which won several awards like the Future Filmmaker Award at Palm Springs Int. ShortFest and the Flaming Faun at shnit Int. Shortfilmfestival.

Nele Fritzsche, born 1989 in Berlin, is currently programming and coordinating interForum, the fringe programme for professional visitors of interfilm International Short Film Festival Berlin as well as the International Script Pitch Competition of the festival. As assistant artistic festival director Nele is member of the selection committee of interfilm Festival 2014. Since 2008 Nele has been engaged regularly in the international festival scene. She was project manager and assistant artistic director for Greenland Eyes Film Festival, Nordwind Festival and F40 Kunstraum. At the 59th Berlinale Nele assisted at the accreditation office which she continued until 2013. Nele is based in Berlin and finishing her studies of Music, Media and Scandinavian Studies at Humbold University.
After graduating with an MA Marketing from London’s Metropolitan University he founded Berlin-based Flabbergasted Films. His previous project including the short film GASP, as co-writer and poducer, which premiered in the Official Competition at the 2012 Festival de Cannes. In 2013 Samuel Huang coproduced CHAIN, a historical short film with French partners Sacrebleu Productions and Bulgarian Contrast Films. The film is currently in post-production. Samuel’s current project is the feature film “Frozen Fire”, both as co-writer and coproducer, which was developed through the Torino Film Lab 2013.

During her longtime work for Razor Film, Lissi Muschol gained comprehensive expert knowledge in producing international cinematic feature films. She supervised several projects (i.e. WADJDA by Haifaa AlMansour, THE FUTURE by Miranda July or CIRKUS COLUMBIA by Danis Tanovic) throughout development, financing, shooting and postproduction. While she was studying film and television production at the HFF Konrad Wolf in PotsdamBabelsberg, she used her experience for many fictional and documentary short films, some of which were shot abroad, for example in Iran, Italy and Austria. She was a scholar for Locarno Summer Academy 2011 and Robert Bosch Coproduction Market in Sarajevo in 2013, where she extended her so far existing international network. She is nominated for the Robert Bosch Film Prize for International Cooperation with the HungarianGerman animated short THE WILD BOAR and the HungarianRomanianGerman coproduction OPENING.

For their first full lenght feature film NEMEZ, who also ran very successful at international festivals, the producers were awarded the Bavarian Film Award 2012 for young producers.

Born in 1985, Gábor Osváth finished the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest in 2011. His first produced short film (’Here I Am’) was selected in Cannes Cinefondation and later ended up being a nominee at the European Film Awards. His other more well-known projects were ’180/100’ (Official Selection at Sarajevo Film Festival in 2012) and ’Napozz Holddal’, a feature music documentary which detailed the farewell concert of one of Hungary’s most famous bands. He is currently preparing the first feature film of his ’Here I Am’-director Bálint Szimler, and is in post-production on his second feature music documentary ’LGT-Maraton’.
Dora Nedeczky is a Hungarian producer splitting her time between Budapest, Paris and London. Dora has been working in international productions for the past 8 years. She worked as assistant producer at KMH Film next to Ferenc Pusztai, as well as for the Warner Brothers, MGM and ROOK Films. Since 2011 she produced a number of shorts as the awardwinning Tough Girls Don’t Dream (2011) and Carry Me Away (2013) by Cristina Grosan that is still in the festival circuit. She’s always happy to attend workshops and network (EAVE Film Marketing Workshop, the MAIA Marketing and Distribution Workshop, SAVE OUR SCRIPTS, ENGAGE, Sarajevo & Berlinale TALENT CAMPUS). She recently completed her second film with Cristina Grosan. “Holiday at the Seaside” was shot in the frames of the Sarajevo City of Film mentoring programme. In August 2013, the film went on to win the Sarajevo City of Film grand prize at the 19. Sarajevo Film Festival. Opening will be their 3rd project together.

Born in 1978 in Imperia, Italy. I’ve attended the master in storytelling at Scuola Holden, then Mediaset RTI School of Scriptwriting. Selected for Nisi Masa Script and Pitch in 2008. Selected for Turin Film Lab in 2010. Selected for Berlinale Talents in 2013. In 2005 I’ve founded my production company, called Due Monete, specialized in storytelling and digital production. Due Monete has produced four short. The change (2009) has been screened in Cannes 2010 in Semaine de la critique. Ruggero (2012) has been sold to Canal+ for broadcasting in France and Francophone Africa. We’re currently producing a documentary about European Expats in developing countries - we are about to release our last animated short “Life as a coin”, partly financed by Croatian Audiovisual Centre. Satu Elo works since 2010 as the Workshop Manager of EAVE – European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, based in Luxembourg. She is responsible for the organization of EAVE European Producers Workshop, EAVE Film Finance Forum and EAVE Film Marketing Workshop, among other duties.
Country: Luxembourg Producer: Pol CRUCHTEN Founder with Jeanne Geiben of the independent production company RED LION, which so far produced over 9 features and 11 shorts. Based in Luxembourg, the company is specialised in bringing young luxembourguish talents to their first feature and in co-producing documentaries and long features for the international market, with a high artistic value. Pol Cruchten also directed 6 features and 3 shorts. His first feature film, “Wedding Night”, was officialy selected at the Cannes film festival in 1992 and was rewarded with the Max Ophuls price in 1993. In 2000, he shot “Boys on the Run” in the United States, produced by Tarak Ben Ammar. He is currently preparing the adaptation of Svetlana Alexievitch’s novel “Voices from Chernobyl”, scheduled to be shot this spring in Ukraine.
During 2004 – 2010 she worked at the Finnish Film Foundation as part of the team responsible for the international promotion of Finnish films, and during 1998 – 2004 she was in charge of the executive management and part of the programming team of Espoo Ciné International Film Festival in Finland. Other earlier activities include work as freelance journalist and translator.

Laporte Norbert Film Fund Luxembourg The Film Fund of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, first established in 1990 then restructured in 1999, exists primarily to promote and foster an environment in which the country’s film production industry can develop and flourish.
Since 2003 the Fund has also overseen, every two years, the organisation of the Luxembourg Film Awards (Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis) which rewards the country’s best film contributions.
The Fund, an official body supervised the minister responsible for the audiovisual sector and by the minister responsible for culture, implements the overall policy of the government’s support for audiovisual productions. Thus it manages the various programs through which the Luxembourg government provides financial incentives to audiovisual productions. Film Fund Luxembourg represents Luxembourg in all European audiovisual initiatives, like Eurimages, the pan-european coproduction fund With the aim of providing a framework for a Luxembourg audiovisual industry in full expansion, the Fund is also responsible for promoting the Luxembourg sector, developing international co-production agreements and delivering certificates on the nationality of works. Minck Bady 2013 was a successful year for AMOUR FOU: “The Notebook“ by János Szász won the Grand Prix Crystal Globe at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, “Naked Opera“ by Angela Christlieb the Heiner Carow Award at the Berlinale and “The 727 Days Without Karamo“ by Anja Salomonowitz the Silver Eye Award 2013 at the Jihlava Film Festival. Thiltges Paul As a co-founder of one of the very first audiovisual production companies in Luxembourg (Samsa Film), Paul Thiltges has produced and/or distributed to date more than 40 feature films, animated series and documentaries. In 2005, David Grumbach joined the company and is today in charge of production, whereas Michel Dimmer is in charge of PTD Studio, the postproduction entity of PTD, since 1993.
Finally, he has regularly been representing the interests of Luxembourg producers, at the international level as a board member of several European programmes including EURO AIM and CARTOON, as well as at the national level, especially as President of the Luxembourg Audiovisual Producers Union (ULPA) since 1996. Since February 2013, he is Advisor to Film Fund Luxembourg in charge of promotion and distribution of audiovisual productions on a national and international level.

Martin Bonnici is one of Malta’s foremost producers. Over the past years he has been entrusted with national projects and awarded numerous grants for film and audio-visual projects. Through Shadeena Films, he’s produced a number of award winning animated and live-action short films supported by the Malta Film Fund. Martin Bonnici trained in writing under Bobette Buster and David Howard amongst others, and on directing with Laurence Moody at the NFTS. His current production is a 15-minute Short Film, co-produced with Turbulence Films and partially developed at the European Short Pitch 2012. Martin Bonnici currently sits on the board of the Malta Audio-Visual Association, Malta’s first representative body for the Film & TV Industries.
Studied English Literature at Oporto University and holds an MA in Text and Performance Studies from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art / King’s College London. Completed the Young Artists Program at the Gulbenkian Foundation and took up the film directing course at the PCFE Film School (Czech Republic) and the documentary workshop at E.I.C.TV (Cuba). She works as a producer for Terratreme filmes and also independently, highlighting the work of filmmakers such as André Gil Mata, João Vladimiro, Leonor Noivo, Miguel Seabra Lopes, Susana Nobre and Tiago Hespanha.

After completing a Ba degree in Film Studies with Media Studies and Video Production in Buckinghamshire (UK) he finished a post-graduation in General Journalism. His film criticism career began in several UK magazines and newspappers such as The Independent and Red Pepper. On his return to Portugal he began writing for Sai and Jornal I. In 2009 he began working as a festival producer in FEST - New Directors/New Films Festival. He currently combines his work as Producer/artistic director of FEST with the Head of the Debate Department position at Nisi Masa - European Network of Young Cinema, while finishing his latest experimental documentary short film.”

Gabriela (Gabi) Suciu (b. 1987 in Sebes, Romania) graduated the Directing Class at the National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC) “I. L. Caragiale”, Bucharest in 2010. Since 2008, Gabi has consistently produced 5 to 8 titles a year. In February 2012, she graduated the Film Production Masters Programme and is currently enrolled in her second year of PhD. at the same university. Gabi runs Atelier de Film, the new Romanian production company, supported by UNATC to produce works by graduates of the Film Faculty. The previous shorts that she produced were selected for hundreds of festivals around the world including Cannes, Sarajevo, Montreal or Gijon.
Alina Ozerova is an emerging visual artist and filmmaker, originating from Moscow (1983) and based in Amsterdam. Having education in sociology (Higher School of Economics, Moscow) and professional experience in quantitative research and statistics Alina found herself sourcing from both social sciences’ approaches and arts. Her recent education includes audiovisual department at Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and Film Major program in San Francisco Art Institute, USA. Since 2013 she is collaborating with Fest: New Directors / New Films Festival (Portugal) as an Experimental short film section programmer.

Michaela Pnaceková (1981) is a festival programmer, manager and an emerging producer. In 2013, together with Wim Vanacker and Wim Baeten she cofounded the production company sireal films based in Belgium. Sireal films supports young and promising filmmakers and currently focuses on short films and documentaries. At the moment, Michaela works on a documentary and is nominated for the Bosch Stiftung East European Co-Production Prize. She lives in Berlin.
Barcelona 1975 Filmmaker and Producer. Co-founder of Rumba Films, a creative company developing documentary, media and fiction projects as well as Subtravelling Festival, the successful short film festival in the subway of Barcelona. Pol worked on TV and media industry for fifteen years. As a freelance he produced and directed music videos, commercials, animation and documentaries like 6/8. Beyond the Beat, Les pigeons voyageurs or the fiction short film Das ist nicht Mallorca. Nowadays, he is preparing Rumba Films’ new fiction production: Disconnected, and searching for new talents and projects.

Born and raised in Liverpool, Mike has studied film production at Northumbria University and Fiction Direction at the National Film & Television School. His graduation film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, and his shorts have screened at numerous UK and international film festivals. Mike is an ESP 2013 award winner and his project SATURDAY is currently in post-production and due for release in 2014.
Ohna Falby is a UK producer who set up London based production company Life To Live Films to produce independent short and feature films. Ohna has collaborated with directors including Daniel Mulloy, Douglas Hart, Sonja Philips, Jane & Louise Wilson and most recently Gaëlle Denis to produce outstanding short films since 2003. Ohna most recently produced a series of 5 short films commissioned by Bombay Sapphire one of which (ROOM 8) has been nominated for a BAFTA. Ohna is currently in postproduction on a BFI funded short film called CROCODILE. She will be involved with director Gaëlle Denis on a feature project, which has been selected for this year’s CROSS CHANNEL FILM LAB. Educated in Paris, Ohna later studied filmmaking and creative writing in New York and then settled in London to work in commercials and later in film. With this background and with short and feature films in development, she is always looking for ways to collaborate internationally and co-produce with European colleagues.

With an international background and close ties to UK, Germany and Russia, Jelena specializes in European co-productions and holds both a Masters degree in Film and TV Producing from the UK’s famous National Film & Television School as well as a BA Honours degree in Arts from Central Saint Martins College.
Gavin Humphries has run Quark Films since it was founded in 2006 when he completed the Producing MA at the UK’s National Film and Television School. Recent work includes the BAFTA nominated / Cannes winning THE CURSE for Film4 & the BFI and interactive storytelling project THIS EXQUISITE FOREST with Google and Tate Modern. He’s produced documentaries for both Channel 4 and the BBC including BOY CHEERLEADERS, seen by two million viewers in the UK and sold to over 60 countries. Quark also has extensive experience in crowd sourcing and crowd funding with feature documentaries THE PEOPLE VS GEORGE LUCAS (SXSW 2010) and THE REAL SOCIAL NETWORK. Gavin’s produced several short films selected for festivals such as Sundance, Encounters and London as well as twice being shortlisted for the Oscars © and nominated by the Royal Television Society. Gavin has spoken on panels for BAFTA, the British Film Institute, British Council, Creative Skillset, Channel 4, Film London and at Cambridge & Oxford Universities. He is also currently Film Partnership Manager at Creative Skillset.
In 2010 Jelena founded Wostok, an independent London-based production company that specializes in development, financing and production of international projects with focus on up-and-coming talent. In addition to producing several award-winning short films, Jelena is working for the Berlin-based independent production company ZAK Film Productions and has been a participant of the Berlinale Talents (2013) and winner of the Robert Bosch Coproduction Price for short fiction.

Jessica Levick graduated from the National Film and TV School Producing MA in 2008 having previously worked in international sales at Film4, Element X and Alliance Atlantis. Her first feature, the critically acclaimed BFI & adidas funded documentary PERSONAL BEST, was released theatrically in 2012 and featured on the Evening Standard Awards Best Documentary 2012 longlist of 6 films, voted for by film critics. Jessica has worked as Associate Producer on the BIFA nominated feature film LEGACY, starring Idris Elba (THE WIRE, LUTHER), and as Line Producer on the Warp/Film4 short DR EASY. She has produced a number of award winning music videos and short films, with talent including Vicky McClure, Natalie Press, Sheila Reid and Riz Ahmed. Jessica has participated in the Guiding Lights scheme with Robyn Slovo as her mentor, Save Our Scripts 2013, the Rotterdam Producer’s Lab (2013), Edinburgh Talent Lab (2013), the Berlin Talent Campus (2011), Film London’s MICROSCHOOL, and the MEDIA supported Passion to Market scheme (2010-11).
Will is the Senior Programme Manager for film at British Council has responsibility for short film promotion, as well as advising British Council offices in the Americas and Europe on their year-round film activity. For the last two years will has also worked as Head of Development on national short filmmaking initiative Collabor8te, run through Rankin Film Productions (RFP) and designed to unearth and develop new filmmaking talent. He oversees the Collabor8te script submissions and works with selected writers through development. Will also works as a freelance script consultant on both feature and short screenplays.

Emily has produced a number of short films through her company Quiddity Films and is the Production Executive on Film London’s Shorts Scheme. Her awardwinning short films include Gabriel Gauchet’s THE MASS OF MEN and Claire Oakley’s PHYSICS. She also works as Development Producer for Hot Property Films. The company produced KELLY + VICTOR, directed by Kieran Evans, who recently won the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut. Previously, Emily spent time in distribution for Optimum Releasing and has also worked for The Bureau, Steel Mill Pictures and Partizan. She is a graduate of the National Film and Television School Producing MA and has taken part in schemes such as the Berlinale Talent Campus, Think-Shoot-Distribute, SOS and MEDIA Four Corners.
Francine is currently Director of the EWA Network (www.ewawomen.com) and producer of a number of art house documentaries and genre features, including an upcoming documentary on John Berger by Spanish director Isabel Coixet. An expert in European co-productions, and currently on sabbatical from the Eurimages co-production fund, Francine regularly teaches at film schools and acts as a project consultant. She studied French and English at Oxford University, followed by Gender studies, has worked in communication (especially editing) and is committed to good communication and equality in the audiovisual sector.
