MARUSSIA MOTORS — DREAM COME TRUE

Marussia Motors was founded in 2007 by former racing driver Nikolay Fomenko, renowned brand strategist and business thinker Efim Ostrovsky and award-winning technology entrepreneur Andrey Cheglakov. The creation of Russia’s first highperformance car company is a remarkable story of both aspiration and innovation. As might be expected of a dynamic new car company, our evolution has been swift and we are sustaining that momentum. We unveiled our first model - the mid-engine B1 coupe - in Moscow in 2008, and then
followed that up with the launch of the powerful Marussia B2 at the prestigious Frankfurt International Motor Show in the autumn of 2009. The auto world took notice that the Russian Sports Car had arrived. Just a few months later we took the unprecedented step of becoming the first Russian brand to participate in Formula One World Championship racing, in partnership with Virgin Racing F1. During the 2011 season the team was renamed Marussia Virgin Racing. This year we have moved closer to attaining worldwide fame and we are proud
to declare that our team will be contesting the 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship under our own name - Marussia F1 Team. This achievement enabled Marussia Motors President Nikolay Fomenko to arrive at a long-term goal: «Marussia Motors has made its dream come true. Our company participation in the Formula 1 World Championship highlights globally that a young Russian car company has full-fledged ambitions to compete at the international level and is able to successfully offer Marussia luxury products in Europe.»

The innovative vision of the Marussia Motors founders shapes everything we are doing. Unconventional and unique ways of thinking combined with a background of many technical breakthroughs in the past are some of the underlying reasons for the successful development of our sports cars. We try to live up to the traditions that have helped us attain excellence in the past: Marussia B2 is a light coupe vehicle equipped with a classic mid-mounted engine and rear drive. We pay attention to even the smallest innovation and boldly implement the most significant new ideas and technologies as well.
The know-how applied both in our road cars and Formula 1 race cars exemplifies our way of thinking. Our direct transfer of ideas, expertise and technologies from the Marussia F1 Team to Marussia Motors gives impetus to our development.

Marussia B2 is Russia’s exemplar of the sports car. It was developed and built by Marussia Motors’ talented designers. The B2 vehicle combines a unique profile with avant-garde engineering.
Following the great tradition of the Sports Car, Marussia B2 is a powerful and light two-seater coupe with a mid-mounted engine. However, thanks to our philosophy of combining maximum power and luxury, B2 has strikingly beautiful interior trimming made from the finest natural materials and a hi-tech infotainment system.
We are aware that our vehicles epitomize our customers’ characters. Therefore, we do our best to satisfy your most exacting demands both for appearance and for interior trimming to make the Marussia sports car unique and exclusively yours.

A wild appearance, dazzling design and bold colors emphasize the powerful character of the Marussia B2 vehicle. Cleverly styled to mimic the ‘M’ in the Marussia logo, the B2 face looks astonishingly powerful.
Glossy black paintwork emphasizes the predacious geometry of the air intakes and headlamp apertures.
The geometry’s denouement comes at the rear of the car with softer sparkling tints of black which highlight the open structural elements of the aerodynamic diffuser which deflects air flow from the bottom.

Our striving for speed is accentuated both by the body design and aerodynamic features. Traditionally, the bodies of road and race cars have been debugged based on wind tunnel tests. This is a labour intensive process running parallel to calculations produced by means of the high-performance software of Computational Fluid Dynamics, or CFD. The technologies are successfully applied for the engineering of our cutting-edge Marussia F1 Team race cars.
While creating the Marussia road cars, we have made use of all the expertise acquired by our team designers in the field. We believe that the fruits of our labour are valuable not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of functional performance. The sharp outlines and radical proportions of the B2 sports car make it conspicuous among other cars.

Along with aerodynamic performance, one more cornerstone of our design concept is a light structure combining strength and stiffness to achieve the best dynamics and safety parameters.
The centerpiece of the vehicle is a loadbearing tubular space frame sheathed with sandwich panels to provide unprecedented stiffness. In the front and in the rear, tubular subframes are installed, to which engine transmission and suspension components are attached.
Such a strong and simultaneously light structure is surmounted by the state-ofthe-art body shape of the B2. The body panels are molded out of high-grade composite materials that make theentire car exceptionally light.

The heart of any supercar is its engine. We use brand new engines that meet the latest green standards and embrace new advanced and phenomenally highperformance technologies. MARUSSIA B2 embodies the classic image of a sports car when the engine is mid-mounted. It’s this lightweight construction that gives us an advantage and enables our cars to achieve outstanding ride performance. Marussia B2 differs in its highly aerodynamically efficient
features. The body shape lets us do without extra components. In order to enhance the performance of this simple and elegant shape we put specific emphasis on the engineering
of the car bottom, given our knowledge of aerodynamics, to make the Marussia B2 literally «stick» to the road. Due to the original ideas of the brilliant young minds of the Marussia Motors team, the exterior sets the B2 apart from all other sports cars.

Keeping in mind critical characteristics of the best road-holding cars, we are a part of the few reputable car makers in partnership with German KW - the world’s leader of suspension design. Marussia B2 utilizes the adjustable hydraulic road clearance technology that allows it to overcome artificial road bumps.
The ventilated 370 mm diameter and 350 rear brake discs and 4-piston calipers provide tremendous stopping power designed to meet the exclusive requirements of the Marussia В2. Having experienced the breathtaking performance of the Marussia В2 it becomes clear that our lightweight concept is a very efficient way to get both the right deceleration and impressive acceleration as well.
The B2 has 20’’, 5 spoke wheel discs. The wheels are shod with 225/35 front and 265/35 rear tyres that deliver great levels of traction and road-holding in any weather. Expressive and stylish brake discs and calipers are another unique element of our cars which serve to attract a customer’s eye.

Marussia Motors will be locating closer to its European customers. At the beginning of 2012, Marussia Motors concluded a strategic partnership agreement with leading automotive service provider Valmet Automotive, known for excellent quality in premium car manufacturing. The cooperation
is aimed at assembly of the Russian supercar, Marussia B2, in Europe. Targeted production volume will amount to a few hundred cars per year.
