THRIPLOW DAFFODIL WEEKEND The quiet village of Thriplow, eight miles south of Cambridge, has celebrated its own Daffodil Weekend since 1969. Our excursion takes us across the National Park passing Totton, Fawley and Beaulieu to Lymington, where we have time for lunch (at own expense), before continuing to Lyndhurst and returning to Bournemouth via Christchurch Day 4 We drive to maritime Poole to explore the historic quay area, and then board the Sandbanks ferry to Studland. We continue to the beautiful Dorset seaside resort of Swanage, set at the heart of Purbeck and built around a beautiful sheltered bay, before returning to Bournemouth via Corfe Castle, for a glimpse of the 12th century castle ruins Day 5 A day excursion to Portsmouth, a naval city with a fine nautical heritage. ITINERARY Thursday Outward journey to Stourport-on-Severn, where we have time to explore the Stourport Canal Basins, right in the centre of town and a great place to wander around and explore. Relax and unwind in one of the local pubs, cafés or restaurants, and watch boats travelling from the locks and five historic basins. We include an afternoon river cruise, before making the short transfer to our hotel to relax and settle in prior to our evening meal Friday A wonderful day today starts with a ride on the Severn Valley Railway from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. There’s no better way to see the beauty of the River Severn than from one of these steam hauled trains. After our rail journey we transfer to Shrewsbury, lying in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, and one of the finest Tudor towns in England. This delightful town with its half-timbered buildings and little independent shops and tea rooms is a pleasure to explore. ITINERARY Day 1 We travel south with suitable stops en route, and board a late afternoon ferry for the short crossing to the Isle of Wight Day 2 A day at leisure to explore Sandown. Sheltered in a beautiful bay, and famed for its long stretch of golden beach and traditional promenade and pier, you’ll find plenty to occupy your leisure time Day 3 A visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite home Osborne House (admission not included) Day 4 In the morning we make our way to view the iconic Needles Rocks, before our visit to Yarmouth, with its picturesque harbour. We continue in the afternoon to Calbourne Water Mill, set in 35 acres of stunning rural landscape. You’ll have time to visit the mill and museums, take a stroll around the ponds and through the ancient oak woodlands, before returning to Sandown
EASTBOURNE & THE GARDEN OF ENGLAND An elegant award winning resort where you’ll find superb level promenades bordered by banks of informal floral displays, the popular Victorian Pier, great shopping, and the beautifully preserved 1930s bandstand with regular musical entertainment

Day 5 We include a return trip on the charming Isle of Wight Steam Railway from Havenstreet. A nostalgic journey with locomotives and carriages beautifully restored to pristine condition by a team of dedicated volunteers. There will be time to browse the museum and shop, before continuing to Ryde, with time to explore. We call at the Rosemary Vineyard, before returning to Sandown via Brading
Tuesday We travel the short distance along the coast to Beachy Head to enjoy the spectacular views, before continuing to Arundel, a town rich in history and culture and dominated by its Norman Castle, one of the great treasure houses of England. There will be time to visit the castle for those who wish to do so (admission not included)
Day 6 From Cowes, home of the famous yacht club in the world, we embark on a pleasure cruise out into the Solent, sailing around Portsmouth harbour, where we can view modern and historic warships at anchor. After disembarkation we return to Sandown via the quintessential village of Godshill with its charming thatched cottages and popular model village. There will be time for those who wish to visit the model village, however admission is not included
Wednesday We visit Tenterden, nestling in the heart of the Weald of Kent. This town, rich in history, has largely escaped modern development, and its broad tree lined High Street is brimming with interesting shops. From here we board the East Kent and Sussex Railway, a fine example of a rural light railway. We gently wend our way through ten and a half miles of unspoilt countryside to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent Bodiam Castle
Day 7 A day at leisure Day 8 We board a morning ferry for our return sailing, and continue homeward with suitable stops en route
Thursday A half day excursion to Bateman’s, the much loved sanctuary of Rudyard Kipling. We have time to explore the beautiful 17th century house, and linger in the peace and tranquillity of its garden, surrounded by the wooded landscape of the Sussex Weald

Our first stop is Stow-on-the-Wold, a quintessential English town with mellow Cotswold stone buildings, a fine selection of shops, chic bistros, Cotswold inns and cosy tea shops. Continuing through the countryside we enjoy an extended stop in Bourton-on-the-Water, regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England. Monday We make our way to the Lake District for a steam train ride from Haverthwaite to Lakeside and then a lake cruise on Lake Windermere. ITINERARY Sunday We journey to Scotland, making suitable stops en route, and arrive during the late afternoon Monday We start the day with a visit to the famous vantage point of Queen’s View, which looks out over one of the most iconic panoramas in Scotland. On then to the little Highland town of Braemar. We continue along Royal Deeside, maybe even catching a glimpse of Balmoral through the trees, before continuing to Crathie Church and Ballater Tuesday We visit Glamis Castle, the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth. You will not fail to be touched by the magic of this castle steeped in history, legends and myths. We continue to Dundee, a compact waterfront city on the Tay estuary, and reputedly Scotland’s sunniest city! Time to explore, before returning to Pitlochry
Friday We continue via the banks of Loch Lomond and Loch Awe to the coastal resort of Oban. From here we take the early afternoon ferry to the Isle of Barra, arriving at the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel for our two night stay Saturday The Isle of Barra is considered by many to be the most beautiful little island in Britain, with its tranquil beaches, distinctive culture, and where Gaelic is widely spoken. Today is at leisure to relax and enjoy the island Sunday Today’s island hopping will see us visit seven islands in one day! We start with an early morning crossing from Barra to Eriskay, famous for the Eriskay Ponies and for being the real “Whiskey Galore” island. We take the causeway across to South Uist, where the west coast is a continuous sandy beach and the east coast dominated by mountainous peaks. Another causeway connects with Benbecula where we include a morning coffee stop and collect our packed lunch from the Dark Island Hotel. The Benbecula causeway links to North Uist which is relatively flat with more than half the island covered in water, making it a birdwatchers’ paradise. We board the early afternoon ferry for the one hour crossing to Harris, and travel up the west coast where you’ll find some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery in the Western Isles. The final leg of today’s journey is to Lewis and the 4-star Cabarfeidh Hotel for our two night stay Monday Lewis is the largest island of the Hebrides with a history that goes back thousands of years. Tuesday A full day tour by rail and ferry over the sea to Skye. First we board the Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig, regarded as one of the Great Railway Journeys of the World. Disembarking in Mallaig we have time at leisure, before taking the short ferry over to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. WHAT’S INCLUDED Holiday prices include all coach travel from listed departure points, entrance fees and admissions unless otherwise stated, and all ferry crossing unless part of an optional excursion. We reserve the right to use Eurotunnel services through the channel tunnel in either or both directions on tours to the continent. This service may be used as alternative transportation to ferry crossings in case of last minute schedule changes, unexpected delays, weather conditions or force majeure. Hotel accommodation and board basis as specified in each itinerary. 2. WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED Charges that accommodation suppliers may make for use of certain facilities such as tennis courts, sun beds etc. Cost of visas or inoculations. Any articles of personal expenditure not listed as included in the price of the holiday. Extra items such as laundry, alcohol & tea/coffee after dinner, unless the hotel specifically include those items. Meals en route, gratuities, personal expenditure, and travel insurance. 3. EXCURSION PROGRAMMES We reserve the right to substitute any advertised excursion with a similar alternative if operational reasons should make this necessary. No refunds will be made for passengers not wishing to go on included excursions. Included excursions involve taking you to a convenient central point with time at leisure to explore at your own pace. 4. OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS On tours where there are free days, we may offer optional excursions. These are not included in your holiday price and can only be booked and paid for directly to your driver/courier in resort. These excursions are subject to minimum numbers booking to make their operation viable. 5. LUGGAGE All baggage and belongings are carried at owners risk and we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage except where such damage or loss is caused by the proven negligence of our employees. We ask you to keep your luggage down to one medium size case per person, not exceeding 20kg, and ensure the contents are securely packed. On tours with overnight stops, one small overnight bag per person is recommended. 6. MOBILITY SCOOTER POLICY We will accept small mobility scooters subject to the following: a) Our booking staff are given details of the size and make of the powered wheelchair/scooter to enable checks to be made on the manufacturer’s website to establish if it is suitable for carrying on the coach. b) We will advise customers, either at the time or by calling them back, about the suitability of the scooter/powered wheelchair for carriage on our coaches. c) That the scooter/powered wheelchair will break down into separate parts, each weighing no more than 20 kgs. d) The disabled customer is accompanied at the point of departure and arrival by a companion who is able to dismantle and reassemble the powered wheelchair/scooter to enable stowage in the coach. e) The powered wheelchair/scooter is operated by dry cell batteries only. f) It is deemed that there will be sufficient room in the hold the carry the item. 7. MEDICATION IN LUGGAGE Please ensure that all regularly used medication is kept on the person or carried as hand luggage, and not packed away in luggage that is to be stowed in the luggage compartment on the coach. 8. SEAT ALLOCATION It is possible, on occasions, for operational reasons, that a coach/ mini bus of different configuration may be used, and we therefore reserve the right to alter the seating plan and allocate seats other than the ones you have booked, although this will be avoided wherever possible. We have no liability in relation to any such change of specification. Seat allocation does not apply on feeder vehicles. 9. CHILD REDUCTION Any child aged 4 -13 inclusive at the time of travel qualifies for a 20% reduction when sharing a room with two adults. Children 3 years and under are only permitted on certain weekend breaks. Where applicable special child reductions are detailed on the holiday page. 10. CREDIT/DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS Payments made by Credit Card will incur a 2.5% surcharge. No charge for Debit Card payments. 11. SMOKING Smoking is banned in all indoor public places in the UK, and the majority of European countries. Smoking on-board our vehicles is strictly prohibited. 12. GRATUITIES Gratuities to our drivers are not included in the cost of your holiday. Any donations should reflect on the service you have been given by our representative. We also recommend that gratuities should be made on an individual basis rather than a group collection. Check with your driver regarding gratuities for hotel staff as each hotel has its own system.

Terms and conditions 1. FINANCIAL SECURITY PC Executive Coaches of Lincoln Ltd is a member of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) and follows their guidelines. We have established a Client Trust Account in order to comply with the European Community Directive number 90/314 for the benefit of our customers. All monies received are paid into a dedicated Client Trust Account until after the holiday departs. You can be confident that, in the unlikely event of our becoming insolvent, there is a fund of money to repay or repatriate you. 2. YOUR CONTRACT WITH US By paying the relevant deposit you are binding all persons travelling to our Terms & Conditions. The contract is made when your booking is entered onto our reservations system and we issue a confirmation of booking. Please check your confirmation carefully to ensure all information is correct, and advise us immediately of any errors.
3. PAYING THE BALANCE OF YOUR HOLIDAY The balance of payment must be made no later than six weeks before your departure and you will receive your tickets and final holiday details approximately fourteen days before departure. If you have not received this information three working days before the departure date, we request that you telephone our office to check the exact departure time and departure point for your holiday. We regret that we will be unable to consider any claim for loss of money or compensation from clients who fail to contact us in the event of their not receiving final holiday details. The cost of your holiday is not guaranteed against any increase resulting from government action, including an increase in VAT, additional bonding, and devaluation of the pound sterling or increased fuel charges.
4. IF YOU CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY You or any member of your party may cancel your holiday at any time provided that the information is conveyed in writing to PC Coach Holidays. Any such cancellation will incur cancellation charges on the following scale:
HOLIDAY TRAVEL INSURANCE A Special Holiday Travel Insurance Scheme is available for all passengers travelling on our holidays arranged with ETI – International Travel Protection (ERV), the UK branch of Europäische Reiseverscherung AG, who are Licensed by the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BAFIN – www.bafin.de) and approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA – www.fca. org.uk) to undertake insurance business in the UK. Should you wish to take advantage of our Holiday Travel Insurance please include the appropriate premium when booking your holiday DEMANDS AND NEEDS This insurance policy will suit the Demands and Needs of an individual or group (where applicable) who have no excluded pre-existing medical conditions, are travelling in countries included within the policy terms and who wish to insure themselves against unforeseen events detailed in the cover section below. 5. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BOOKING Minor changes prior to the balance due date, such as additional requests, joining point amendments etc. necessitating the issue of a new Booking Confirmation will be allowed subject to the payment of a £10 amendment fee. After the balance due date whilst we will attempt to accommodate minor changes on the same basis, no guarantee can be given. For major changes such as transfer to a different holiday or departure date after the balance due date, we reserve the right to treat such changes as cancellations and levy the cancellation charges as set out in the “If you cancel your holiday” section. 6. SPECIAL REQUESTS If you have any special requests, you must advise us, and ensure they are noted on the booking confirmation when received. Your request will be passed on to the hotel concerned; however we cannot guarantee that they will be able to comply.
7. IF WE CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY It is necessary in order to operate any holiday that a certain level of passenger numbers is achieved. If that number is not achieved the holiday may be cancelled and an alternative holiday offered. You will then have the choice of accepting this alternative or receiving a refund of all monies paid in respect of your booking.
8. IF WE CHANGE YOUR HOLIDAY The arrangements for your holiday are usually made many months in advance and changes are sometimes unavoidable. We reserve the right to alter, without notice, routes, seating plans and itineraries on any tour arranged by PC Coach Holidays. 9. PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH INFORMATION For all continental holidays, you will require a full 10-year passport. Your passport must be valid for three months after your return. If you have any doubts about your status as resident or British subject, or you do not hold a full British passport, you must check with the Embassies or Consulates of the countries to be visited to confirm the passport or visa requirement needed in your particular circumstances. We cannot accept responsibility if passengers are not in possession of the correct travel documents. Clients travelling to EC countries are advised to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) prior to departure. This will entitle you to certain free health arrangements in member state countries. At this time no special requirements, such as inoculations, exist to any countries featured. It is, however, your responsibility to ensure that any special requirements are obtained before the date of departure.
10. SEAT BELTS The wearing of seat belts is mandatory at all times when seated 11. CLIENTS BEHAVIOUR PC Coach Holidays reserves the right to refuse a booking or terminate a client’s holiday in the event of unreasonable conduct if, in our opinion, it is likely to cause damage, distress, danger or annoyance to other clients, employees, and property or to any third party. If you are prevented from travelling or continuing your holiday by such termination, PC Coach Holidays responsibility for your holiday ceases. Full cancellation charges will apply and PC Coach Holidays will be under no obligation for any refund, compensation or loss, which you may incur. 12. IF YOU WISH TO COMPLAIN In the unlikely event that you or any member of your party have cause for complaint please inform, in the first instance, the supplier of the service and then our driver who will do his utmost to resolve the problem immediately. Failing this you must notify us in writing within fourteen days after you return.
Cancellation and Holiday abandonment, Medical and Other Expenses, Curtailment and Additional Travelling Expenses (United Kingdom) carries a £60 excess for each and every loss per Insured Person. Personal Property and Money carries a £50 excess for each and every loss per Insured Person SIGNIFICANT EXCLUSIONS. RESIDENCY You or anyone else named on this policy has not been a resident in the UK for the past 6-months this policy cannot cover you PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS If you are travelling to destinations detailed in your policy document which do not require you to inform the Insurer of any pre-existing medical conditions, then you need to consider your answers to the following questions: • Will you or anyone else be travelling against the advice of your GP or the carrier, their handling agents or any other public transport provider? • Have you or anyone else been given a terminal prognosis? • Will you or anyone else be on a waiting list, awaiting the results of tests or be aware of any surgery being required? • Are you suffering from stress, anxiety or depression unless it has been investigated and diagnosed as such by a specialist in the relevant field? Please note if you have answered Yes to any of these questions the policy will not cover claims as a result of the condition or conditions causing your Yes answer(s). You do however have the option to still take out this policy on the understanding that it will not cover these condition(s). If the policy does require you to declare your pre-existing medical conditions then you will need to call Towergate on 0344 8921698. Upon receiving your declaration Towergate may, on behalf of the Insurer, offer to cover these for an additional premium. It is your responsibility to declare your pre-existing medical conditions when required. Failure to disclose may result in any claim being declined. SPORTS / HAZARDOUS ACTIVITIES If you intend to take part in any sports or hazardous activities not included in your holiday itinerary please call the tour operator with whom you have booked your trip. They will contact Towergate on your behalf to confirm whether the policy can be extended to cover your planned activity or activities. Additional terms and premium may apply.
In addition to the above the policy also contains the following main exclusions: • Any existing medical conditions unless they have been declared to (where appropriate) and accepted by the insurer • Your participation in any organised sports, winter sports or dangerous activities unless they have been declared to and accepted by the Insurer • Suicide or the wilful exposure to exceptional personal risk • Stress, anxiety or depression unless it has been diagnosed as such by a consultant or expert in that field • Travel against the advice of the carrier, any other public transport provider, the Foreign Office or the World Health Organisation • Motorcycle travel during the insured trip where the engine size exceeds 125cc. • Any manual work or hazardous occupation undertaken during the insured trip • The bankruptcy / liquidation of the tour operator, travel agent or transportation company with whom you have booked your trip Examples of these and other conditions and restrictions and what to do if you are unsure about any aspect of an exclusion are contained within your policy information. If after purchasing a policy should you find it does not meet your requirements you have 14 days from the date of issue, or prior to travel (whichever is sooner) to cancel the policy.
