IN DESIGNING THIS PROJECT, THE STUDY OF SAND DUNES INSPIRED THE CONCEPT FOR THE REDESIGNED DORM ROOM. SAND DUNES MIGRATE IN NATURE IN A NOMADIC WAY, CONSTANTLY BUILDING AND REBUILDING ITSELF TIL IT MOVES TO A NEW LOCATION. THIS NOMADIC MOVEMENT REFLECTS THE LIFE STYLE OF MANY COLLEGE STUDENTS. CONSTANTLY MOVING, GOING PLACES, GROWING, CHANGING AND EXPERIENCING, A DORM ROOM THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE FOR THIS MOVEMENT IS IMPORTANT IN A STUDENTS LIFE. FEATURES IN THE ROOM INCLUDE MURPHY BEDS, MOVEABLE DESKS, STORAGE AND SEATING, SO THE STUDENT CAN MOVE THROUGH THE SPACE HOW THEY WOULD LIKE TOO DEPENDING ON THEIR ACTIVITY AT THAT MOMENT.
