REGISTRATION DEADLINES You are encouraged to register at least five days before a course’s start date to ensure your seat. If seats are available, registrations may be accepted up to one day prior to the first day of the course. Students who do not appear on the instructor’s course list will not be permitted to attend. Please note that no registrations are accepted after a course has started.

Students whose first language is not English should note that they are required to be proficient in written and spoken English and be able to participate in group discussions and presentations in English. As a guideline, we would expect you to have an IELTS score of 4.5 for studio courses and 6.0 for lecture courses. GLASS CASTING + DIGITAL PRODUCTION This course introduces new ways of making to both professional artists and enthusiasts. Using 3D modelling for ideation and form generation, students will use analog mould-making and hot glass casting to produce their designs. The primary project will be a 3D-printed form based on the discoveries of the initial project, translated into cast glass. Glass Casting + Digital Production will provide a solid foundation in traditional skills and techniques as well as 3D modelling and 3D printing. Suitable for all skill levels, this course will especially benefit those who work in related disciplines, including architecture, ceramics, product design and sculpture. Students can continue their learning through a range of courses at both ECUAD and Terminal City Glass Co-op. Prerequisite(s): No previous experience in 3D modelling or glasswork is necessary, but strong computer skills are recommended.
Glass Casting + Digital Production Dates: September 10 – November 5 Schedule: Saturdays + two Sunday sessions Time: 9am to 1pm Fees: $1495
