We invite our customers to take a step inside the United Kingdom’s most deadly and dangerous garden. Shrouded in mystery and filled with murderous floral and fauna, The Poison Garden at England’s Alnwick Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the whole country. Over one hundred infamous killers lurk behind the black wrought iron gates. This is one time visitors are warned not to stop and smell any of the flowers, because the choice just might have some very deadly consequences. Taking inspiration from the beautiful textures, colors, scents, and architecture that can be experienced taking a walk through this section of Alnwick, we translated it into a new vision for our brand. At Lady Killer, it is our mission to take these beautiful blooms that hide a killer secret, and infuse them into fragrances that are both deadly and delicious. We are empowering anyone who wears our scents by giving them their own secret that they can hold on to throughout the day, so they can feel a bit more rebellious.

When Jane Percy, the Duchess of Northumberland, was asked by her husband to do something with the Alnwick Castle’s Poison Garden in 1996, she got her family involved. Her teenage daughter, Catherine, was reluctant to help at first, but soon it became an interesting project her and her mother collaborated on together. Catherine fell in love with the beautiful blooms of some of the toxic flowers, and was soon upset that she could not enjoy them fully without deadly consequences. Well, the Duchess of Northumberland had the perfect solution for this poisonous problem they both found themselves in. Combining her and her daughter’s passion for the murderous blooms, they collaborated with expert botanists, perfumers, and cosmetics scientists to create a new line of fragrances, perfumes, and other body products now known as Lady Killer. Dedicated to maintaining the natural essence of their products, Jane and Catherine are determined to keep all of their products as organic as possible. With the help of a great team behind, this mother daughter duo is hopeful that everyone can now enjoy all the beautiful blooms of the Poison Garden by adding a little rebellion and attitude in a harmless and exciting way.

Our deadly and delicious scents mix poison with perfume. With sweet notes from lavender, honey, and rose petals all of our scents and products are up to 80 percent organic with natural oils and ingredients. All of our perfumes include essences of beautiful but deadly culprits from Alnwick’s Poison Garden including Monkshood, Dragon Arum, and Angel’s Trumpet. Awaken your inner vixen with these powerful potions with a deadly floral explosion for all of your senses.

From flowers made famous by folklore and legends to old Victorian remedies, our flowers featured in our scents are very unique, just like the women who wear them. Angel’s Trumpet was used by women at high tea in the Victorian era. They would steep the pollen in their cups of tea, and would induce LSD like hallucinations. Acording to folklore, carrying Dragon Arum gives impunity to snakes and serpents. Monkshood was also known as Wolfsbane, and used as a werewolf detector.

Our storefronts at Lady Killers are filled with fragrant flowers that will be featured in our perfumes. Our outdoor signage is bold with a black and white palette to contrast with the vibrant floral colors, intriguing customers to find out what surprises lie inside.

Our patterns are a key element to Lady Killers branding. They are energetic, bold, and attention grabbing. Like the beautiful plants it is inspired by, our pattern speaks to our customers by screaming edgy.

35

GRAPHIC ELEMENTS Our graphic elements that make up our brand patterns are as unique as every flower in the poison garden. Both fresh and dead flowers were dipped in deathly dark ink and individually hand stamped to create the gorgeous marks. Please use them consciously when a space filler is needed on any collateral.

Our dark photographic style is key to pushing our poisonous feel of the Lady Killer brand. When art directing photoshoots or searching for photography, look for photos where there is a large percentage of black in the color palette. These high fashion shots should be creepy, but still fashionable and appealing. Please be conscious of surfaces where we can include our patterns and our branding colors. Floral elements are also strongly encouraged, and the blooms should reflect Lady Killers acidic color palette.
