About Our Chef Bridgette Fauvre is Vin Vélo’s co-owner along with her sister Jacqueline, and she is also our amazing and talented head chef. The set of two sisters decided to honor their late French father, Remi, after hearing countless childhood tales of him watching the Tour De France with his family. Growing up on great French cuisine, Bridgette turned her passion into a career after attending one of the best French culinary academies. She is adamant in serving the best France has to offer in the simplest form, cheese and wine. Working with expert wine sommeliers and maître fromagers, Bridgette has been able to curate a simple but delicious selection of Frances best offerings even the most average New Yorker will love.




Fixtures Our fixtures feature rich copper and other metal tones. Hanging from our ceilings are custom light cages are hand made with copper accents to represent a spoke like feel on the wheels of a bicycle on the Tour De France. These lighting fixtures, and other elements contribute to Vin VÊlo’s industrial feel. Our tables and ceilings feature modified lighting using wine glasses and bottles. Our fabrics directly relate to our carefully curated menu, using rich dark reds for our deep red wines as well as soft creams and off whites for our delicious cheeses and white wines.

Artwork Adorning the exposed brick walls of our wine and cheese bar, are vintage Tour De France race posters. Both new and old, these posters pay homage to our owner’s own history with the Tour De France, but also to riders of teams past and present. But, these posters are not just any old posters. They each have their own hidden secrets. Every poster has been reimagined with our wine bar in mind, and hide elements you will see around the Vin Vélo. Our Wines Our wine list at Vin VĂŠlo has a great variety of hand-picked selections for you to sample by the glass or enjoy by the bottle around one of our tables. With rosĂŠs, light whites, dry reds, and everything in between there is something that will satisfy even the toughest sommelier. Bridgette works with her connections in the French wine country from during her time at culinary school in order to curate the best selections of wine from both France and from vineyards right here in the United States.



Our Cheeses Our cheese boards are the perfect way to satisfy your hunger and indulge your adventurous side. Enjoy the our chef ’s selection of one, three, or five different hand picked cheeses. Each of our artisan cheeses is perfectly paired with a complementing accompaniment. Our cheese selections change regularly because we are committed to serving our cheeses at the peak of maturity. Our artisan cheeses are the perfect pair for our wines by the glass or shared by the bottle around a table of great friends.
