November 8 Zombies or the World’s latest Rising Drug? Emily Lowe, Kaleb Temples, Lane Rix, Tay White 2nd period Forensics Cass High School Case Summary: A 56-year old Caucasian male, last seen around midnight, was found dead and brutally slaughtered early this morning at 8:15 am. He had blood draining from his eyes and a pale complexion. He was stiff and his skin was peeling. Forensics specialist, Kaleb Temples said, “The man’s blood was fresh, and his appearance looks as if he’s been dead for months but internally he was fully alive.” Test show his mouth contained blood from a body other than his own and he had flesh between his teeth. Drugs were not found in the system and police are reporting this as a homicide but was the victim also a suspect? Evidence Analyzed: Along with the body, my forensics group collected an axe and blood samples from two different bodies. After analyzing the blood splatters, it appears that the victim was struck in the head multiple times. The axe came from directly above and severed the head right above the ear, on the left back of the head, and it skimmed the top of the head. The blood was processed for DNA and after identifying the victim, we had another DNA sample that we believed to be a victim of our victim. We collected flesh from the body and flesh from between his teeth. These also showed that another person was involved. Discussion of Results: From the evidence collected and analyzed, we can only conclude this was another zombie attack in Cartersville. The 56-year old male was without a doubt a victim but he was also a suspect. He killed or injured, to our knowledge,

a minimum of one person. We have yet to find the body of the remaining but we’re trying our best to do so. The forensics test show with the blood splatter that the victim was slaughtered with an axe and he died after the second blow to the head. After speaking to an eye witness, we have concluded the victim was attacking his victim and our eye witness stumbled upon them. After seeing the witness, victim one who was attacking victim two ran in the hopes of escaping and not being seen. Fortunately the witness, after chasing him down, caught up and was able to attack and bring down the zombie. He then slaughtered him after he attempted to attack the eye witness. Victim two we can only assume ran in fear after victim one tried escaping. Conclusion: The cause of death was slaughter with an axe, the manner of death was homicide. This case illustrates that zombies are upon us and the city may be in danger. Despite the stories and myths, It is extremely important to take all caution at all times. References: 1. Sanchez, L.
