Wheaton Programming
Special Conversation Concert In Wheaton In an effort to promote broad access to our programming, every year ChorSymphonica performs a special Conversation Concert in Wheaton, MD. These performances are supported by the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County through the Wheaton Cultural Project Grant program. The grants support impactful projects within the Wheaton community and provide professional opportunities for artists and scholars to work in Wheaton, MD. With the acknowledgement and understanding that access to resources has been historically limited for certain groups of people in certain neighborhoods of the county, ChorSymphonica is committed to cultural equity within the local region of Montgomery County, and is an active supporter of the Wheaton Cultural Arts District. Partnering with us is the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, and The Maryland State Arts Council. We also receive support from The Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, and individual donations from friends who enjoy our concerts in Wheaton and throughout the region. To donate to this effort, please click here. Hughes United Methodist Church in Wheaton The venue for our Wheaton programming is Hughes United Methodist Church/ El Buen Samaritano, 10700 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, MD 20902.
Our next Wheaton Program is our Annual Wheaton Conversation Concert, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3:00 pm. Admission is free, $20 donation is suggested. Founded by conductor Richard Allen Roe, the group continues to offer traditional concerts and its unique “Conversation Concert” experiences in Montgomery County and the Greater Washington, DC area.
