My time at OLP was magical — if it had not been for the inspiration of our French teacher, I would have never fulfilled my dream of studying and living in Paris, France. The language prep I received at OLP more than prepared me for the level of study at university on into my days living in Paris. -Angela Cummings, Class of ‘88, now working at a national intellectual property law firm

Poised to Serve OLP women serve in local and international communities with gentleness, peace and joy, modeled after the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Students are required to complete 85 hours of service by the time of graduation, however, most go above and beyond the minimum requirements because the culture of our community is that of serving the “dear neighbor.”

Poised For Faith Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet in 1882,

OLP has successfully educated young women for more than 130 years to meet the needs of society, always with the charism of the sisters at heart: gentleness, peace and joy. OLP is rooted in the motto of Deus Illuminatio Mea, “God is my Light.” The department of Campus Ministry facilitates opportunities for our community to explore our Catholic faith and CSJ charism, including: Daily School-Wide & Classroom Prayer Weekly Chapel Prayer Variety of Student-Coordinated Masses Advent Candlelight Procession Class Retreats Service-Learning Programs Student Council Outreach Projects Student Peace Commission & Service Clubs Food Drives for Catholic Charities Campus Ministry Student Core Team Weekly Parents in Prayer Meetings

Students are at the heart of planning and leading various ministries on campus. Faith in Action empowers students to engage in their faith as is exemplified by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

Not only do we provide an educational experience that produces students with a very strong academic foundation, but we also continually emphasize the importance of developing a strong, balanced faith-life with a focus on Catholic social justice. We take in young girls. We graduate well-rounded, exceptionally motivated, and spiritually-conscious young women. -Angela Cascarano, Class of ‘69, parent of an alumna & current OLP Yearbook/Visual & Performing Arts Teacher

If it weren’t for the religious education and campus ministry experience I received at OLP, I would not be working in full-time youth/music ministry today. Because I had teachers who cared so much about our faith and the love of Christ, I am able to continue that work with my youth group and have passed the Gospel on to many teens over the past ten years. -Jen Bedison, Class of ‘87, parish Youth Minister

We invite our OLP graduates to return to the campus chapel for their wedding ceremony as well!
