Teacher — July 2017-Present Teach 7th grade reading at Memphis Rise Academy, a school with an extended school day (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and an extended school year (mid-August to mid June). Serve as Ole Miss (classroom) advisory. Write original 7th grade reading curriculum, organized in annual Scope and Sequence, quarterly pacing calendars, and daily lesson plans and student-facing resources. Plan and teach weekly four-day Focus class for students requiring remediation. Plan and lead weekly four-day Enrichment class. Plan and teach once-a-month Saturday school for students requiring literacy remediation. Attend weekly professional development sessions with literacy team and weekly 7th grade team meetings.
