irst off I would like to thank everyone for all of their dedication and hard work. We have had tremendous growth within the companies and we could not have done it without each and every one of you. The Grand opening of our Las Cruces, NM office was a huge success. Approximately 300 people attended. I would like to thank everyone who contributed in every way during the grand opening. A special thanks to our marketing team for all of their skills, hard work, and for creating such a professional event. Alfredo Castruita has been playing a huge part in setting up our new Border Recapping plant since February 1st, 2016. Alfredo has been in the tire business for 20 years. Within those 20 years he has acquired plenty of experience in customer service and outside sales. Alfredo also ran the MRT plant in San Antonio, TX for 7 years. The recapping plant is located at 12277 Rojas in Suite C. It is expected to be in production the week of April 25th, 2016. We are excited about this new growth and expansion within the company. As of March 1st, 2016, Mr. Mike Hunnicutt joined our team as the Branch Manager at the Border office in Tucson, Arizona. He was born in Yuma, Arizona but soon made his way to Eloy, Arizona. He is a graduate from Arizona State University with a degree in Business Management. In 1968
his career took him to Casper, Wyoming to spend 18 years in the oil industry. In 1986 he returned to Arizona where he started a new career in the trucking Industry. Mr. Hunnicutt now has 30 years of experience in the trucking industry. A word from Mr. Hunnicutt: “Stress is only a form of fear-if you are performing and giving your best, stress becomes a mute point. We are so excited to have him on the team. As we are heading into our busy season, we could not be more blessed. Again, thank you for your continuous efforts in making this business successful.

Las Cruces celebrates its Grand Opening
ON FRIDAY, MARCH 11TH
under a bright desert sun (and just a tiny bit of wind), Border International Las Cruces made things official. As the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, members of the Border family, and a very, very large Michelin man looked on, Royal cut the symbolic Grand Opening ribbon and kicked off a fun afternoon full of freebies, giveaways, vendors and food. A big thanks to everyone that came out, we hope you had a great time (and ate a lot of food).

meet your new favorite brew
WALKING IN TO BORDER LAS CRUCES the first thing that hits you is the rich, deep aroma of coffee. Not exactly what you’d expect from a truck and trailer dealership, but a welcome surprise. Border Brew is like a caffeinated oasis amongst a sea of trucks. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill cup of joe, either. Border Brew’s master barista Sal has got over 15 different blends and an espresso bar. For the cutting-edge coffee connoisseur, there’s the nitro brew, a cold-brewed, nitrogen infused coffee that is richer and smoother than it’s hot-brewed brother. Not a coffee fan? Italian sodas, smoothies, teas and teas are just a few of the non-coffee options on the menu.

letter from the editor Let's face it. Spring time in the borderland is definitely not the most pleasant season. With high wind speeds and even higher pollen counts, most of us can't get by without taking way too many anti-histamines. Despite this, nature still seems determined to keep on keeping-on. Everywhere you look, something is blooming and growing. Even here at Border, things are growing left and right. The new Idealease building, Border Recapping, the new Las Cruces location, Border Brew Coffee House. Change is everywhere. Everything inefficient and outdated is getting pruned away, and making room for the fresh and new! Spring cleaning on a whole new level. Tis the season to embrace new opportunities and shake things up! So load up on Benadryl, roll up your sleeves and figure out: what needs some Spring Cleaning in my life? You might be pleasantly surprised. Regards, Damaris Mateo
