VISION

CEO

At EMI we always have an eye toward restoration. We long to see people restored by God and the world restored through design, but how does that happen?

First, we walk with our clients through the complexities of projects that bring lasting change to their communities. We want these projects to be distinctly different and better because an EMI team has been involved. We know when these projects succeed, our ministry partners are set up to serve communities in need for years to come.

VISION FOR RESTORATION

Next, we walk with people through the challenges of life. We walk with each other, seek God together, and care for our teammates. We walk with our partners as we, together, bring kingdom impact. And finally, we walk with communities and construction workers, sharing the gospel and seeing people come to Jesus.

DESIGNING A WORLD OF HOPE

Our worldwide mission is to develop people, design structures, and construct facilities which serve communities and the Church.

As they wait to receive medical attention, residents of this Kenyan village gather around the church, their only public building. EMI designed a healthcare facility that will provide standard medical care closer to home in the nearest town.

We’re building communities as we engage with our partners and the impact is significant.

VISION FOR CHANGE

It’s exciting to think of all the people who will be helped through the development of a new hospital or healthcare facility. That alone is amazing.

However, we also want to consider how we can help keep people out of those facilities through the development of clean water systems. The impact is huge.

To go even further still, how great is the impact of the introduction and expansion of the gospel in a community.

That is real life change!

Our vision for change in communities includes meeting life needs - both of the physical and spiritual.

VISION FOR THE EMI FUND

The EMI Fund supports the people and projects of EMI. These funds enable us to bring on new staff from around the world.

This helps our teams get new people in the door and catch the vision for EMI in their corner of the globe.

Additionally, the EMI Fund supports our project work. It helps to make up the gap between what our clients are able to pay and what the work costs us to complete.

When you support the EMI Fund you provide the critical resources that keep us mobilizing people to complete these amazing projects.

Our targets for growing The EMI Fund. Give to build a strong foundation at EMI and invest in our values.

It has been exciting to see the staff of EMI grow over the last few years.

VISION FOR GROWTH

Behind these people is a multitude of others who give to enable our staff to pursue ministry at EMI.

Many give to individuals through a missionary support model. Others support the EMI Fund, helping us create pathways for those without access to missionary support to become part of EMI.

In either case, we are very grateful for your faithful support and prayers.

And we are excited about following God’s call to grow EMI into new areas – South America, Central Asia, East Asia, the Pacific region, and more.

We believe there are engineers, architects, and construction managers in every nation who will share our excitement to use our skills for the gospel!

EMI uses terms Global South and Global North as defined by UN, with few exceptions.

VISION FOR WASH

This year’s Growing Globally initiative is for Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) at EMI. For many years EMI has worked in a limited way in the WASH sector and now we feel the Lord calling us into something greater. For decades, our civil engineers have worked inside the boundary walls of specific projects for our client ministries. Now, we are launching outside those walls to engage broader communities on projects that can touch the lives of significantly more people.

We are excited to be breaking ground in this new work and hope you’ll help support the effort as we go forward.
