Dear LPGA friends, It is an honor for me to once again host you and the LPGA at the Guadalajara Country Club. It’s a great satisfaction for me, to bring the best of professional golf to Guadalajara, my hometown. I welcome you to the fifth edition of this event, which I’m sure, will be a wonderful experience to all of us, just like the past four years. I want to thank the Government of Jalisco for their support, our sponsors, fans and volunteers that have joined us to make this tournament a symbol: the great sporting event of our city and our country. WELCOME Welcome to the LORENA OCHOA INVITATIONAL PRESENTED BY BANAMEX AND JALISCO. This handbook was created to give you all the information you need to know about this year’s tournament. In this handbook you will find detailed information about the event including the tournament schedule, hotel and transportation information and more about our host course: Guadalajara Country Club. We have also provided information about our wonderful host city: Guadalajara. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact any member of the tournament staff. GUADALAJARA COUNTRY CLUB Will host the LORENA OCHOA INVITATIONAL PRESENTED BY BANAMEX AND JALISCO. This 18 hole course stretches over 6,626 yards and is the course where Lorena played her first round of golf. It opened in 1942 and was designed by John Bredemus. Since it’s opening, it has gained the reputation of being one of the best courses in Mexico; and one of the oldest. In addition to the golf course, Guadalajara Country Club offers many amenities including tennis courts, an olympic sized swimming pool, gym, equestrian center, soccer field and restaurant. Guadalajara Country Club and this fantastic golf course is without doubt, the best place to host the LORENA OCHOA INVITATIONAL PRESENTED BY BANAMEX AND JALISCO.



COURSE INFORMATION Designer John Bredemus (USA 1942) Location Centered in the heart of the city of Guadalajara in the neighborhood with the same name. It is located about 10 miles from the airport, a 30 minute drive. Grass Typical kikuyo fairways; bent grass green.

GENERAL INFORMATION Transportation All players, caddies and player guests will be provided with transportation to and from the airport to the RIU Plaza Guadalajara. A courtesy player transportation desk will be available at the RIU Plaza Guadalajara and Guadalajara Country Club to help you with any transportation needs. In addition to transporting you to the Hotel and from Guadalajara Country Club we will be happy to take you and your guests. Caddies will be provided with transportation to and from GCC and the RIU Plaza Guadalajara. Caddies will be only permitted to use player transportation if accompanied by a player. Transportation shuttles will run from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. (Wednesday 5:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.). The transportation round from RIU Plaza Guadalajara to Guadalajara Country Club will be available every 30 minutes. Note: Transportation will not be provided to any other hotels. Player’s Lounge The Player’s Lounge is located inside the clubhouse at Guadalajara Country Club. Your LPGA credential will be required to enter the Player’s Lounge. You are being provided with one Player Guest badge that will grant access to the Player’s Lounge for your guest. Caddies will also be permitted to eat in the Player’s Lounge.


Two internet ready computers will also be available for your use. Hours for the Player’s Lounge are 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Practice Area In addition to the putting green and practice tee, GCC has a fantastic short game area located next to the 1st tee. Hours for the Practice Facility are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tournament Office The Tournament Office and LPGA Office are located in the Club House, close to the Media Center.


Autograph Tent An autograph tent is located next to the scoring tent near the 18th green. It would be greatly appreciated if you took a few minutes to sign autograph for the many fans that will be there to support the tournament. Medical Services A medical doctor will be available to all players should a situation arise. If you require medical attention, please contact anybody at the Tournament Office or an LPGA Official. Finance Check cashing is available in the front office of the clubhouse. Check limit is $1,000 USD and will be paid in mexican pesos. INVITATIONAL PRO-AM FORMAT The invitational Pro-Am tournament is a scramble played as a fivesome:

· 4 amateurs and 1 LPGA professional. · In the event of a no-show, play as a

foursome (including LPGA professional).

· “Par is your Partner” your team is

guaranteed a PAR. Please urge your team to help our pace of play by picking up if you will make worse than a par.

· Awards will be announced and

distributed after the Pro-Am round at the Pro-Am awards party at Santo Coyote restaurant, in the Golf Course 6:00 p.m.

· Ties will be settled by a match of cards by the Pro-Am Committee.

· All scorecards must be signed by the

LPGA Professional before being turned in at the scorer’s tent.


SPECIAL EVENTS LORENA OCHOA INVITATIONAL PAIRING PARTY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH 7:30 p.m. at RIU Plaza Guadalajara. Sal贸n Vallarta Cocktails will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by appetizers. Wednesday groupings and LPGA professionals will also be announced during the reception. You and a guest are invited and encouraged to attend. Dress code is smart casual. LORENA OCHOA INVITATIONAL PRO-AM AWARDS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH 6:00 p.m. at Santo Coyote restaurant in the Golf Course. You and a guest are invited and encouraged to attend. Dress code is smart casual. Cocktails will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by Pro-Am awards. Again you are invited and encouraged to attend. Dress code is golf casual.
