Qtea is a tea company that strives to create the freshest, highest quality tea that burst with flavor. The overall packaging aims to depict an exciting, elegant design that will engage the female target market. Qtea’s logo is simple and unique, using a custom designed logotype with black on white colouring creates a simple, yet recognizable image. The name Qtea is an obvious play on word, symbolizing the adjective “cutie”. Each flavor has its own individually coloured ink design, with each colour representing the flavouring of the tea; shades of pink, blue and purple represent the favour “Berrynice”, oranges, yellows and greens symbolize “Citrus Blast” and “Licorice Bliss” is represented by shades of black. Each lid is the main colour in the graphic and will all have the logo sicker placed in the center. The graphic shows a girl holding a teacup close to her face, about to take a sip. Her hair is wild and flowing upwards, this symbolizes the steam rising up from the tea. The steam is a watercolour/ ink drawn design that swirls upward; this creates the imagery of the tea steam rich with refreshing flavor.

The use of a white background creates contrast between the graphic colours, the vibrant watercoulour stands out and catches the eye. The design is a mixture of computer generates imagery and hand drawn artwork. The artwork was inspired by the recent style craze of pencil drawn girls with antlers, I have changed the medium, yet stuck with lines and ink elements. The style achieves an artistic and modern look that is both simple and elegant whilst still engaging the target audience. The typeface chosen for the flavouring names is a script type with flourishes and cursive elements to add an elegant and girly feel. The instructions body typeface chosen is bold, this makes it easier to read against the graphics changing vibrant colours. The design will be printed and a long horizontal label that wraps around an airtight tin, the label will sit flush with the edges so there is no tin showing, keeping the background white. The cylinder tin will have the instructions, nutritional facts and details on the back and the most important logo and graphic on the front. All packaging is recyclable and is made from recycled materials.
