Alphabet Exhibition Don’t miss the last chance to see an exciting exhibition from Hayward Touring/ South Bank Centre, London with City Gallery. Michael Craig-Martin is one of the most influential British artists of recent decades. He was a key figure for the YBA generation of artists, many of whom he taught at Goldsmith’s College of Art. The works in Alphabet have been created in Craig-Martin’s signature style of visually arresting images set against a background of vivid monochrome colours. The work utilises digital technology as well as traditional screen printing methods, and plays with the concept of the ABC children’s primer - but with some 6
surprising and cryptic leaps. Thought-provoking and fun, the series is part of the Hayward National touring exhibition programme. Daily until Sunday, 9 September Entry is FREE For information, call 01733 864663, or visit vivacity-peterborough.com

Tango Motion It’s going to be hot, hot, hot when the pulsating sound of Tango Argentino comes to the Key Theatre for an exquisite evening of dance and music with the accent very much Latin. began in 1985 when the French dance show Tango Argentino transferred to Broadway and then swept coast-to-coast. It was a tango involving Al Pacino’s blind character that helped make the film Scent of a Woman a hit.
