Approaching a Theme
using the words “elegant”, “modern” and “Intimate” (taken from the Ramsay website) as my starting point I decided to focus on photographing food which encaptulated Chef smyth’s unique style. When producing their modern dishes the chefs create layers so as to make the food look as appetising as possible. first a texture on the plate, then larger, seperate componants of the meal, then flat garnishes like leaves and flowers, and finally a sauce or jus. Inspired, I decided to try and replicate this effect by layering 3d elements of my composition with 2d drawings...

Visualisations Furniture This dining chair visualisation has my horizontal check design imposed onto it. The aim was to create visually-pleasing patterns that aren’t immediately recognisable as food.
This visualisation uses my repeated text pattern. I think this mimics the french style of the restaurant well and so would be well-suited to it’s dining room.
This is a mirrored-dressing-screen. I have imposed one of my designs over the top to give the effect that it has been etched into the glass. The simple, fairly modern design complents the antique mirror well and also reflects the personality of the client - producing modern cuisine while holding onto their traditions.

Wallpaper visualisations. The aim with these was to create an exciting and interesting design, but to not create anything too overpowering. I have toned-down these designs by keeping the colour palette very limited.
