PROFILE Fashion to me is a mode of expression, a way to better society and our eco-system, not just an aesthetic. I am a diligent, explorative and enthusiastic fashion design student with a flair for sustainable and structural design, creativity in all forms including performing arts, but also academically a good “all-rounder”. I am passionate about innovative fashion design thinking and I am currently developing my technical and presentation skills through my BA course. EXPERIENCE MODA- FAD INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE
With Barcelona Design Week & Design Manchester Participant / Winter 2020 Selected from an array of applicants, I was one of the 20 British participants collaborating with 20 Spanish students, in association with MODA FAD, Barcelona Design Week, the British Council and Design Manchester. After receiving a variety of lectures from gender perspective industry specialists, I led my team in creating a presentation which focussed on altering the way clothes are presented to the customer, by abolishing gender divisions within clothing categorisation, display and sizing, and therefore redefining the shopping experience. We considered how the retail experience felt to the user, offering a service in a way that eradicates gender assumptions, with an emphasis on individuality and expression. As part of this project, I directed and filmed a video clip about the non-binary change required within the industry, created a PowerPoint and wrote the majority of the script, and presented this, along with some further research, to the various organisations involved and to the general public. We received wonderful feedback from stylist and non-binary activist Joss Jaycoff, the mentors and the representatives of the organisations.
SHANGHAI FUTURELAB EXHIBITION
EXHIBITOR / Winter 2020 I was put forward by my lecturers, before being selected by the Futurelab team to exhibit my work at the online convention, displayed via a mobile phone app. My work presented a multi-functional sustainable denim collection, inspired by Eastern philosophies of Zen meditation, along with natural dying techniques and considering the way different hues alter our emotions. The collection was heavily focused on the idea of a consumer creating their own garments from an interlinking range of garment sections, in the hope their adaptability would lengthen their product lifespan before the fabric will then be recycled again.
WHITE GOTH
Fashion Designer / June 2020 to present After meeting the CEO, I was immediately hired to create the vision that Mrs MacMillan expressed to me, gathering research imagery to acquire a visual for her description. I am currently working on developing and designing the first collection for her boutique in central London to be launched in Winter 2021.
ROYAL SOCIETY OF BRITISH ARTISTS
EXHIBITION / Spring 2020 I was selected as one of the 25 “Rising Stars” by a nationwide scout, to exhibit at The Mall Gallery, London by the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) and later was one of 8 artists in a further RBA competition, with my COVID NHS fundraiser of painted Facetime portraits of loved ones, people we were unable to see face to face but through Facetime we were still together in “Spirit”. I then took part in various (pre-recorded & live) radio, newspaper and magazines interviews, demonstrating my interpersonal and communication skills. Through creating portraits, I developed my observational drawing techniques, my ability to recognise clients’ needs and wants, and my self-promotion capabilities.
PHASE EIGHT HEAD OFFICE
FASHION INTERN / July 2018 At the London Head Office, I undertook a placement predominantly with the design team, along with pockets of learning in merchandising, buying, technical, fitting, layout and sourcing. It was an enlightening week where I developed my knowledge and understanding of the industry and it`s processes.

ANOTHER TANGIBLE FORM IS WATER. It adapts to the shape of the container – transforming with its environment.
THE STATUE “SECRET LOVE” EMBODIES THE HISTORICAL IDEAS OF FLUIDITY BEING FORBIDDEN, DEMONSTRATED BY THE COVERED CUPID, RESTRAINING HIMSELF FROM HIS TRUE LOVE.
