ABOUT THE MISSION PLEDGE DRIVE Mission Team Purpose To inspire and engage our church family to serve in outreach (local, domestic, and international) by identifying, supporting, and facilitating opportunities to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Missions is: about supporting missionaries who are in the field helping people with basic needs like learning to farm, raising chickens, and transforming people’s faith. about helping people whom we know are food insecure, even right here in Hamilton County. about providing love and Christmas for kids who, through no fault of their own, wouldn’t have gifts because the providers in their family are incarcerated. about meeting people where they are and making things better because the Love of Christ commands us to make a difference in their lives. This amount of the Mission Budget for 2021 goes to international missions. This represents 20 different mission individuals/teams/organizations including Midwest Missions and Operation Christmas Child.

This amount of the Mission Budget for 2021 goes to domestic missions. This represents our youth mission trips and any camp or mission trip they may want to attend, Henderson Settlement, and Pillowcase Ministry.

This amount of the Mission Budget for 2021 goes to local missions. This represents our involvement in Angel Tree, Come to Me Food Pantry, Good Samaritan, Christmas in Action and Hamilton County Chaplancy. 10 % discretionary for unexpected needs presented before the team throughout the year AND 2% administrative costs. 2021 MISSION PLEDGE DRIVE
INTERNATIONAL As we support missionaries in Brazil, Dominican Republic, Hungary, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Turkey, and Thailand, your mission dollars span the globe. Midwest Mission supports both domestic and international needs and Operation Christmas Child reaches children across the globe in November.

HAMILTON COUNTY MISSIONS
Angel Tree: Gifts are provided for children from our county, with one or both parents incarcerated. Offenders may be in the Hamilton County Jail, or they may have been transferred to one of the state prisons. For the past two years, they have branched out by including families from local food pantries. Christmas in Action: Area volunteers unite to provide hope through home repair for owner-occupied homes. Come to Me Food Pantry: Provides food and spiritual support to families in our county (based at Fishers UMC). Emmanuel Benevolent Ministries: Church fellowship and community family needs such as utilities or Christmas. Good Samaritan of Hamilton County: Provides food, clothing, and household items to residents in need. Hamilton County Chaplain: Serves in the county jail ministering to inmates.

Henderson Settlement
Henderson Settlement (Frakes, Kentucky), is a mountain outreach ministry of the Red Bird Missionary Conference of the United Methodist Church. The Settlement has a number of outreach and construction ministries where volunteers are needed. The Henderson Settlement Work Camp mission trip is an Emmanuel UMC-sponsored mission trip, however, the workload is light for persons with limited physical strength and endurance. How can I give back to God what is already His?
There are at least two significant ways to contribute to Emmanuel’s REACH efforts: The first is to give of your time: Join a mission trip, volunteer at any EUMC connected organization, or join the Mission Team to learn where you could best contribute. Secondly, give financially to support the EUMC Mission Team efforts in 4 continents, 17 missionary teams, and 11 countries. Where will God take you next?
One of God’s many miracles is how He delivers just what you need when you need it most. God, who created all things and provides all gifts, simply asks us to give back to Him what He first gave us.
What does "Faith Promise" mean?
"Faith Promise" is a term used to describe the pledge process. You are asking God what to put on your heart for giving to Missions. You are taking a leap of faith that God will provide the extra money you pledge to give to missions above and beyond your normal tithe to the church. If God calls you to give to the fund, give faithfully, cheerfully, and sacrificially. If you are uncomfortable with giving a faith promise, you can still give faithfully to support missions. When we give generously and with a willing heart, God assures us He will watch over us and provide for us (Isaiah 58:9; Psalm 41:1–3; Proverbs 22:9; 2 Corinthians 9:8,11). PAGE 09

THE PROCESS LISTEN : Listen to what God is telling you. He will provide above your regular tithe to the church. PRAY : "God. What amount of money will you provide through me/us, above and beyond my/our other tithes and offerings?" SEEK : Seek out God's will for your place in Missions. Is there something He is calling you to? SERVE : Fill out your Mission Pledge Card and return it on Faith Promise Sunday. Lastly, find your place in Missions.

You will be given your pledge card on 5/16 either prior to service or mailed ahead of time. If you do not return your card on May 16th, please mail it to the church office or drop it off during normal office hours (Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 3 PM).
