This project aims to reconstruct the area of Thessaloniki, engulfed by the streets of Maria Kallas and Georgiou Papandreou. This area includes an old factory and a museum, both of which need to be maintained. The aim is to keep the preserved buildings as they are, as well as to open up the space to the wider public by created squares, green spaces and buildings to be used as appartments, offices and leisure spaces. The popularity of the area is supposed to rise in a place that is currently excluded from the city life.

DIGITAL AND ANALOGUE LIBRARY
.DIGITAL AND ANALOGUE LIBRARY University’s studying and social center IN COLLABORATION WITH CHRISTINA MAROUDIS
This project concerns the construction of a library placed within the area of the Technical University campus of Volos, next to the department of Architecture. The position it has plays a part, as it is a favorable point for the meeting and development of activities for the student community as long as for other visitors. Activities such as researching and studying, acoustic development, social exchanges, laboratories and a cafĂŠ, are designed to take place on a building that unfolds in seven levels, four above the ground and three below. The library structurally consists of three parts: two major masses that contain all the secondary functions and a closed system of vertical transparent route, where the functions of reading and studying meet. The end of this route is in the top of the building, in a room that hosts functions especially during the summer months.

The bui compo main b and ve square to the i and the place o (bathro wande central heights ing are grid sys ings. In and lig
ilding complex serves the lymphatic expression, which is usually a collateral or undesirable activity in the public space. It is osed of four elements that function independently by keeping the narrative continuum, the square, the climbing wall, the building and the maze. The wandering of the visitor is called upon to follow multiple routes that develop on the horizontal ertical axis, aiming, through the vast field, to distract him and ultimately to "seduce" him/her from the building itself. The is an open free public space (an extension of the pavement, so that it can be easily penetrated), but is also the entrance interior. In this way it is predominantly introductory to the lymphoid expression. Two parallel elements are the climbing wall e main building. The wall consists of the composition of lobbies that form an internal climbing network. The building takes on different routes and inside it there is placed the lubricating units dimensioning 2.4 x 2.4 meters. The additional facilities ooms, kitchen, wardrobe-warehouse) serve the habitation functions but do not collect them at one point, motivating the ring. Non-temporary habitation can be achieved, but not in a specific demarcated area. Additionally there is a supportive l stairwell and a lift. The square is thus connected to the top floor that follows the same engravings as the walls but different s create isolated spaces while the assembly of the traffic and the intersecting routes favor meetings. The wall and the buildstatically independent structures. The wall consists of self-supporting single wall and the building has a reinforced concrete stem. The labyrinth is based on the two elements, the central stairwell and a wall on the boundary with neighboring buildaddition, a skin protects the northern and western faces with perforated polymorphic structure to control the ventilation hting of the building.
M U L T I P L Y I N G IRREGULARITY
.MULTIPLYING IRREGULARITY IN COLLABORATION WITH MILTIADIS TSAKIRIS
The concept behind this complex of buildings is found in the multiplication of a certain unit which includes the minimum of firm walls and openings to create spces for both intimate usage, like bedrooms and bathrooms and more people inclusive like kitchens and living rooms. The unit is changed orientation, flipped upside down and twisted in all possible ways to the puzzle it ends up being. The block of buildings is used as a youth hosting center, a student dormitoryfor the students of the city of Volos and is placed in a central point, just across the univerity library. The part that stands upper that the zero level is used as the inhabiting part and the part below zero is concentrating the common spaces and is used as an underground square.

The project is placed on a hill outside of the city of Volos and is built in an inclination of 15°. The area is agricultural and purpose of this building is to store a large amount of grains, to provide spaces of examination of the grains, as long as a mu lers. There are rooms provided for the scientists and the employees to stay, as well as conference rooms for discussion. On ground, th
silos exist in approachable distance. The useums to be visited by passing by travelthe top of the building, that is above the here is placed a restaurant and cafeteria.
R E S T R O O M : A GENDERED STORY
.A THESIS
RESTROOM: A GENDERED STORY IN COLLABORATION WITH MARIANNA ANTONIADOU
The given research deals with the condition of the restroom in terms of its gendered character. It also seeks to study the historical evolution of its design and the reason for its gender-separation in the first place. Under what circumstances did this sex-separation begin? For what reasons? What does it serve? Why is it continuing until today? What technological developments and what "architectures" has this gender influenced and produced? At the first stage of the research, the concept of gender was studied, as it constitutes the center of this spatial separation. It was useful to define and understand the concepts of “sex” and “gender”, the first relating on anatomy, and the second imposing the individual’s performativity based on its sex as well as dependence of one upon the other dictated socially. At the next stage, it was examined how gender, with all its "executive effects", influenced the functioning of society in every historical era and played a role in the designing of space. From the sex-separated home environment, to the public sphere that provided space for the exclusive use of the woman, so that they can enter it without having their "sexuality" disturbing the balance of society. At the final and main stage of the theoretical research, the aim was to investigate and analyze the area of the lavatory in particular, with an emphasis on its public meaning, as a widely gender-charged environment of sexual separation. The exploration of the concept of a toilet is not limited to a particular landscape, but depending on the examined time periods reference is made to key areas like America, Europe and more. With regard to the practical part of this work, a questionnaire survey was conducted in order to gather the views and preferences of people of different ages, sexes and nationalities on the form, use and sexual separation of public restrooms. Also, a short-range project took place in public and semi-public toilets of Volos.
