Tennis Institute If you’re looking to become a standout on the court, spend your summer learning from our fantastic tennis coaches. They will show you how to improve your game by teaching you fundamentally sound strokes, dynamic singles and doubles strategies, mental toughness and proper player etiquette at the Emma Willard School Tennis Institute for Girls! This exciting new program is tailored for tennis players of all skill levels—from those who have never played before to the experienced player looking to advance her game. Our day program is available to rising 6th-12th graders (ages 11-17), and boarding is available to rising 6th-9th graders (ages 11-15). Girls can expect to engage in five hours of daily tennis, including match play and round robins, an elective period to explore another interest, and boarders can experience fun evening activities that allow them to build friendships with girls from around the world on Emma’s historic campus in upstate New York. Classes are limited to 24 girls per week and the student to instructor ratio will be a maximum of 6:1, ensuring each girl gets the individual attention and time necessary to achieve her goals. Instructors The Emma Willard School Tennis Institute is led by former Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) National Clinician Jack Curry and his team of PTR professionals.
