BEGINS HERE Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing offers a variety of pre-licensure program options for you to prepare for a meaningful career in the nursing field.
PRE-LICENSURE PROGRAMS We offer multiple entry points for high school students, transfer students, and Emory and Oxford Students. We also offer accelerated programs that, upon completion, allow you to become a Registered Nurse (RN) in as little as 12 or 15 months with the option of continuing your studies to earn an advanced practice degree.

Enter the School of Nursing after completing 60 credit hours at another accredited college or university.
Emory and Oxford Students Transfer seamlessly into the nursing program during your junior year if you’re a current Emory College or Oxford College student.

ACCELERATED PROGRAM OPTIONS (STUDENT WITH A PRE VIOUS BACHELOR’S DEGREE)
Distance-Accelerated BSN (DABSN)
MN Pathway
Live outside Atlanta’s metro area? Our DABSN program allows distance-learners to earn a nursing degree in 12 months.
Students in other disciplines can earn an entry to practice (MN) degree in 15 months before starting their advanced practice coursework. This program enrolls in the summer.
In-Emory MN
Master of Nursing (MN)
This entry-to-practice MN program gives students the opportunity to be hired by Emory Healthcare and work in its hospital system following graduation.
Complete an entry-to-practice MN degree in 15 months to become an RN. This program enrolls in the fall.
