Festival of the Arts March 6-15th Boca Raton is one of the best places in America for lovers of the arts. With major artists presenting throughout the year, Boca Raton always showcases the finest art works, concerts, and productions. One of the countless opportunities displayed is the Festival of the Arts. The eighth annual festival begins on Friday March 6, and goes through Sunday March 15th. Hosted by the Schmidt Family Centre for the arts at Mizner Park, this year will feature artists from around the world including author Richard Ford, Thomas Gunwales, the Stars of International Ballet, Girls Rising, Young People’s Chorus of Ney York, and many others. The days are filled with films, authors, dancers, concert, and more. The Festival will begin with a concert and film showing of West Side Story at the Amphitheater at 7:30pm March 6. South Florida Police K-9 Competition March 7 Dogs. Our furry little friends. They are our comfort when we are sad, our ears when we need someone to listen, and our playmate when we want to run. They bring the life and joy into the man’s best friend relationship. Yet there are those dogs who are our protectors when we need it most. This Saturday, come watch as the top dogs in our Police force compete for the right to the best dog in South Florida. Admission is free for this exciting event. Competitions will be from 2-8pm at the Boynton Beach High School Sports Stadium. Dogs will be making their way through an obstacle course their trainers to test both man and canine’s agility. Also watch as dogs are tested on their ability to take down and handle grown men. Prizes will also be given for hardest hitting and fastest dog. There will also be Vendor and food booths present, as well as kid’s activities including an interactive S.W.A.T mission. For more information please visit their website Here

Well Fest

March 7-8 This weekend in Delray Beach, the wellness and green even will be hosted at Delray Center for the arts from 11am-6pm. Come see renounce artists who will provide live music as you check out the interactive wellness areas. Some of the best wellness experts will be speaking on eating well, reducing stress, and going green. There will be demonstrations, food, and free giveaways provided by local health stores. Featured artist Hannah Trigwell of the UK will be playing Saturday for your enjoyment as well as speakers Serena Dyer, Lee Ann Somers, Dr. Jane Groman, Dr. Ed Scarlett, and more. Autism Speaks Walk

March 8 This Sunday, West Palm Beach is hosting the Autism Speaks walk to raise funds and awareness for Autism. Autism speaks is the world’s leading research and advocacy center for autism. The Walk Now event is an inspirational event that allows people to join together in support of a cause. The walk begins at 10:00am with registration beginning at 8:30am at Meyer Amphitheater. Walkers are asked to raise money for the organization and all walkers who raise $150 or more get a commemorative t shirt. Entertainment will be playing on the stage as walkers enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. A resource fair will be going on throughout the event to provide more information for all.
