Wellington Rotary World Peace Day! Sunday September 21, 2014

In Honor of world peace day, Wellington is having its annual celebration. World Peace day is in honor of making a change in the world we live in. It started with a dream of a better world. A world without wars, hate, depression, or bondage. A world full of love, hope, and peace. World changers around the world come together to create a unity for a day. They bring forth the good that will in turn hopefully last throughout the years. They have hopes of creating a safer world than we have today. In honor of this glorious occasion, Wellington Rotary each year celebrates through contests, awards, and its annual ceremony. The Rotary club asks local schools to enlist their students in poetry and poster competitions. Locals are encouraged to join in the photography competition which forces the community to look at peace and adversity alike, throughout their county. The Ceremony till announce all the winners as well as have special talks about peace as viewers sit aside the 9 peace poles decorating the area with a finale of adding their tenth pole.
