Purpose is a topic that is close to my heart because I am in pursuit of Purpose myself. I started this journey towards the end of last year, and I have been praying to God on what to do for the ladies of Faith Driven, and what I could give them for 2019. He told me to give them what He had given me, which is The Pursuit of Purpose. It sounds very cliché; I just didn’t know where to start. I said Lord, I am in the ministry, so it seems like I am already living my Purpose, or what you have for me to do. But I did not feel totally fulfilled, and I felt like there was something else for me. Therefore, I became very deliberate and intentional in my prayer and study life, to deal with the subject of Purpose. What I am learning is that when we want God to reveal something to us, we really have to be intentional in our study on that particular thing. So it is not enough to read
my word and pray every day. When we are looking for a specific answer, we have to be very specific in our prayer and in our study. For me, I had to break down everything and just focus on my God-given assignment, and through that, He would start revealing things to me on the need for me to walk in Purpose and the detriment of not walking in Purpose. When I say Purpose, I mean God ordained Purpose. Because sometimes, we can be doing morally good things, and things that are even beneficial to ourselves and others, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is what we were created by God to do.
