We had a chat with Captain Tim Dean, owner of a 47' O'Brien Sportsfisher, about gyros and why he chose the ARG stabiliser. Tim owns Calypso Fishing Adventures and arranges deep sea marlin fishing charters anywhere along the east coast of Australia.

Interviewer: Tell us a little about yourself, what you do and the challenges you face.

Tim Dean:

I’ve been running fishing charters all along the east Australian coastline for the past 30 years, from the giant black marlin off Cairns to the blue marlin, black marlin and striped marlin in Port Stephens.

I've fished all over the world and had the pleasure of running some very fine vessels in all weathers. Nothing compares to the Great Barrier Reef where we fish for the biggest fish that swim, and do it in some of the roughest weather anyone could ever fish.
