Teaching Love and acceptance of others Discuss with students the different ways you can show love and who we can show love to. Ask them if you can’t talk or hear, how can you show love? Discuss the topic of people being deaf or hearing impaired and tell them that we are going to create a Sign Language Valentines card. Have a discussion on sign language, who uses it and why.

These are most important and go very high So draw two pointy ears that reach to the sky.
His eyes are very beady and help him to see So draw them neatly where you know eyes to be. The next thing is rather twitchy in the middle of his face He needs a little nose, so put it in place. Now to draw his mouth, start with a massive smile But don’t forget to add his teeth that go on for a mile. Next is his body, which is rather fluffy and round So sketch a furry belly, shaped like a mound. In front of his tummy are his little paws. Like two little mittens is easiest to draw. His feet are needed for jumping all around the world So draw big thumping feet that also help him twirl.
Now you can add, your own little flair. Add a basket or eggs or flowers or lots of bunny hair. Now he’s looking pretty handsome and all ready to go Your groovy little bunny is ready for his Easter show!

Read the poem aloud and students use the directions to draw the picture.
When drawing Santa, it is said, Always start with a big round head. On top there’s no hair but that’s not all Add a red floppy hat with a white pom-pom ball.
He is always happy and jolly you know So give him a huge smile that says “Ho! Ho! Ho!” His eyes are quite small on his round chubby face, And he needs reading glasses so put them in place. His nose is small and his ears are too But his cheeks are big and rosy, so colour them, one, two.
Now his body is a big one, so make it nice and round. Add arms & hands and legs & feet to the belly that’s like a mound. So he needs to put some clothes on, as it is getting rather cold He needs a suit with black buttons, and coloured red that’s bright and bold We can’t forget the beard, it’s what he’s famous for. So draw his white wild whiskers that nearly touch the floor. To finish off our Santa he needs something on his feet, So draw some big, black boots and your Santa is complete!
