In the summer of 2018, en.v conducted a CSO sector mapping and needs assessment in order to get a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of the challenges, as well as emerging opportunities, within the civic sector in Kuwait. The study engaged a total of 51 diverse CSOs in a series of in-depth one-on-one interviews and additional online surveys and recorded over 76 hours of valuable insight and feedback on the nature, roles and aspirations of the local civic sector.
This study was conducted as part of en.v's ongoing Promoting and Advocating for Civic sector Enhancement (PACE) program in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), and with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and Burgan Bank. This booklet summarizes and visualizes the key findings from this study.
