Roosevelt County Electric Cooperative Inc. (“RCEC” or “Cooperative”) hereby provides notice of its filing with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (“Commission”) on or around April 1, 2020, of proposed rate schedules, under Advice Notice No. 62, to modify its Tenth Revised Rate No. 5—Lighting—to add options for three new lighting fixtures utilizing energy saving LED technology that will be available to customers. RCEC’s tariffs governing the purchases from and sales to Qualifying Facilities of electricity are also being updated and consolidated into a single rate. This update to RCEC’s Rate Nos. 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 is being proposed solely to remove outdated language and references and to reflect the current practices of the Cooperative. The proposed changes will not increase the revenues or the rates of RCEC. I. Amount of Increase The requested rate change will not increase rates of the Cooperative. RCEC estimates that the new LED options available to customers will produce savings to members through enhanced efficiency, but this newer technology is simply being made available to members as an option and not a requirement. II. Customer Classes to Which the New Rates Apply The proposed rate changes will affect RCEC Rate Nos. 5, 10, 11,12, 13 and 14.
