Important Summer Program and Registration Information •

The safety of our program participants is paramount and all necessary precautions will be taken in our summer programs.

Some previously listed camps and programs for which registration began in February may have been closed to new registrations, modified or canceled due to health and safety reasons and/or low enrollment. Class sizes for programs listed in this brochure are limited so register as soon as possible.

Non-residents add $10 to registration fee. A $2.50 processing fee will be added to each Youth & Teen, Adult and Sports program. Senior Citizen non-residents add $3. A $1 processing fee will be added to each Senior program.

YOUTH CAMPS

Cooking Round the World

Seaside Day Camp (ages 5 - 12) Seaside Day Camp is open for business!! Come join us at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center for a fun week of summer camp! This year camp will look different due to the Covid-19 crises but will still offer that same great Seaside Day Camp experiences where memories can be made that will last a lifetime! Camp will comply with all County of San Diego Covid-19 summer camp guidelines , field trips will not be offered in this program. Daily snack provided. Campers should pack a peanut free lunch each day.

YOUTH CAMPS Young Actors Theatre Camp (ages 6 - 15) Campers will be cast in, rehearse and perform in a 30-minute filmed production. Each week, campers will play theatre games, learn character development, learn how to act on film, gain confidence, and develop social skills. Campers will receive a link to their movie performance at the end of camp so that they can share their filmed performance with friends and family! Youth Basketball Skill Builder Camp (ages 6 - 12) Build your physical and mental skills with this awesome camp that focuses on basketball essentials, giving every player the tools they need to succeed. This camp is filled with fun drills and games to improve your game. Incorporated into the curriculum is the Fitlight Trainer, to train your brain and your game. YOUTH SPORTS Soccer Shots Camps

San Diego Futsal Academy (ages 5 - 12) Want to receive the best training and reach your full soccer potential? Join San Diego Futsal this summer for pure soccer skill development, high-speed activities and allaround fun. Camps feature a FIFA-endorsed, exciting game of Futsal soccer to build touch on the ball, technical foot skills and game awareness. Camps also feature the best of F.C. Barcelona and Dinamo Zagreb - Croatia. Camps present the method of operation and the direction of their academies, and point to key technical and tactical requirements of youth categories. YOUTH SPORTS SD Skatelife Camps

Beach Volleyball

(ages 5 - 12) Join us at the Encinitas Skate Plaza for a week of skateboarding fun! Learn how to skate in a safe and controlled environment with expert instructors from SD Skatelife. This camp is designed to teach skateboarders of any level. Learn skateboarding fundamentals, meet guest professional skateboarders and make new friends. All participants must wear helmets, elbow and knee pads. Contact instructor for skateboard rental options: Andrew@sdskatelife.com.

(ages 7 - 14) Beach volleyball legend, Sinjin Smith, plus his qualified staff of local San Diego area coaches, are ready to pass down years of knowledge to you! The camp is structured so that all campers will receive proper instruction based upon their individual skill levels. This camp will cover all of the fundamentals, teach specialized drills and supervised games will be played. Everyone will receive a Beach Volleyball camp t-shirt.

Private Surf Lessons (all ages) Private surf lessons are custom fit for all levels of surfing from the first-time beginner, intermediate level, and advanced coaching for seasoned surfers. Staff will teach specific skills for all stages of surfing. These lessons can be one on one with a professional instructor or in small groups of 3 students with one instructor. All ages welcome from 5 years old and up. Surfboards are always provided during these lessons. All registrations are completed through Parks and Recreation. Lesson times are offered within the following times: 1 – 5pm Monday – Friday 10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm Saturdays and Sundays. Surf staff will call participants to schedule their lesson.

TECH & SCIENCE The Gaming Academy

(ages 10 - 17) The gaming academy is an all day camp for students who love games. Students will be immersed into the world of 2D and 3D game design. Camp offers variety of hands on experience designing and building your very own games, developed with a combination of our Video Game Design, Advanced Game Design and 3D Game Design.

(ages 6 - 12) This camp offers younger students a fun, interactive look at coding. Students will create virtual apps and write their own programs that they can share with friends and family. This camp makes learning to code fun and explores problem solving and programming logic.

Imobile Game Design

(ages 9 - 17) Calling all ROBLOX users! Join in with millions of gamers and immerse yourself in your own 3D-based camp that uses physics, LUA programming and individual creativity to build a world around you and your avatar; unlike any other software. This camp will guide students through concepts such as beginning physics, LUA programming and game development. Students in this camp will build and publish their game to share with friends and family!

(ages 9 - 17) Utilize your BIG imagination to sketch and build your own video games on a mobile device. If you love to play games on your iPadÂŽ this camp will help you engineer and build games. Adult & Senior Virutal Classes Gentle Yoga (online)

FITNESS ZUMBA Gold (online) (ages 50 and up) Have you tried Zumba and been overwhelmed? This program is especially designed for the active over 50 group. Latin rhythms inspire moves to exercise the brain, heart, and all the major muscle groups. You will enjoy dancing and get a cardio workout. Have water available, dress lightly and come party online with us! Instructor: Lori Massey

(ages 50 and up) Start your day off right by practicing Gentle Yoga. This class is personalized for you to explore poses and specific breathing techniques designed to strengthen the lungs and immune system while refreshing your mind and heart. A guided visualization will be included at the end of every class. Equipment: yoga mat, strap, 2 blocks and 1 - 3 blankets. If you do not have equipment, adaptations can be made.
