From the Director’s Desk… Hello Encinitas, I hope everyone had a great start to their new year. On behalf of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department, I am excited to share with you all of the great events, programs, information and services included in this issue. We have a new name for the park located at Piraeus Street and Olympus Street in Leucadia. City Council approved the name Olympus Park at their meeting on December 18. The park is anticipated break ground this spring. This Recreation Guide features our summer camps section. We have a variety of wonderful camps and activities for kids to enjoy this summer. There is something for everyone. Also , don’t forget about the Spring Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 11 at Encinitas Community Park. The department offers amazing events, classes, programs, concerts, art exhibits and so much more. We have beautiful parks, beaches and trails for you to enjoy as well. This year try a new program or take a hike on a trail. There is so much exploring to be done in Encinitas.
