What you will read here is motivated by a desire to be helpful – helpful to as many people
as possible who have questions about, or an interest in, the subject of homosexuality. This includes those in the LGBTQ community, their friends and family members, religious and civic leaders, and any others who may wish to become more informed. Consider parents, who upon learning that their young son or daughter does not identify as heterosexual, are likely to ask “What is responsible for this? What did we do wrong? Must we abandon our dreams for grandchildren?” and a host of other concerns about long-cherished beliefs and hopes.
