Our Create Your Own Sailing Escape Journey allows you to do just that a DIY for the sea. In the program you have the option to choose taking the vessel on your own and setting sail with just your map and trusted compass or hiring a crew member to help out with sailing, tidying up the boat, assisting in sailing or maybe making sure that there is food on the table! Our sailing journeys are designed for you to be as active or as relaxed as you want to be. Hire a skipper to get the inside scoop on where to go and brush up on your sailing skills. Hire a Chef and enjoy the most amazing on board dining experience. Like to cook but don’t like to clean, hire a deck hand and/or hostess and leave the cleaning duties to them plus they will help out in sailing
too! It’s like having your very own personal assistant at sea. The program is designed on brand new 52ft Dufour Grand Large sailing vessels. These sailing vessels offer quality, sailing excellence and comfort with accommodations for up to 10 passengers or up to 8 if taking on a crew member. The Dufour 520 Grand Large line has made excellent use of every little space. Its smart expanding table, retractable Captain’s table and outdoor kitchen barbecue complete with the kitchen sink provide at sea and on board comfort for the entire family. TERMS AND CONDITIONS All sailing charters in the Create Your Own Escape journeys have a mandatory Saturday - Saturday embarkation and disembarkation with a 5:00pm embarkation time and 09:00am disembarkation time. All vessels are to return to base the evening prior for punctual disembarkation the following day. Payment requirements: A preliminary down payment of 50% of total is due upon signing the yacht agreement to secure vessel for preferred dates.
The balance of 50% plus any optional extra services is due 45 days prior to embarkation date. For charters within 30 days of embarkation date, 100% full payment is required upon signing of the agreement. The charter is non-refundable once paid in full. We recommend purchasing personal travel insurance.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. Payment via credit card will incur a 3.5% service fee. Wire transfer incur nominal bank fees. 2. Euro-USD currency contracts available at preferred fixed USD rates. 3. Crew gratuities are customary but at the charterer's discretion and not included in charter rate. (For applicable charters with hired crew) 4. All itineraries are subject to weather and sea conditions as well
as, port authorities at time of charter and no port is guaranteed. 5. Smoking is not permitted inside the yacht and only in designated areas outside. 6. Any changes to the defined e m b a r k at i o n / d i s e m b a r k at i o n itinerary will incur re-positioning fees. All changes must be agreed prior to charterer's embarkation and require written approval from yacht management to execute change in itinerary.
7. Charter for local country waters only - traveling outside of local waters will incur transit entry visas a n d c u s t o m s t a x . Ya c h t management must be advised prior for itinerary approval for out of local waters travel. 8. Children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times and are not the responsibility of the crew. 9. A refundable €3,000 security deposit is applicable to all noncrewed charters.
