WELCOME Welcome to the Endon Lighting New Collections Catalogue, 2017/18 edition. This catalogue is filled with new products, complemented by our new photography. Each setting has been chosen to best show the unique features and great lighting effects you can achieve. We hope to inspire your design with our new collections and range extensions. Here at Endon Lighting, design is at the heart of what we do. Our lighting is designed and carefully selected by our team of experienced British designers for domestic and commercial use across Great Britain and Europe. Starting as a hand drawing in our Poole studio, this is then manufactured by our carefully selected partners around the globe. We have a huge selection in our vast range, so, whatever your style, whatever your chosen trend, we are confident we have something for you.

COLOUR TEMPERATURE When thinking about lamp choice itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s important to understand that every light source has two distinct elements. The first part is brightness which is measured in Lumens, for example candle light gives a soft glow whereas a spot light gives an intense bright light The second part is the colour temperature which is measured in Kelvin, this is how cool or warm the light is. Low Kelvin numbers indicate warmer yellow light colours and high Kelvin numbers indicate cooler, whiter colours. Choosing the right lamp helps to create the right effect within your chosen room

LED temperature is subject to tolerances of +/- 10%

Warm white 1800K - 3900K

Cool white 4000K - 5900K

Warmer whites are generally preferred for creating a more relaxed environment in dining, reception areas and living areas

Daylight white 6000K - 9500K

Cool white is a good choice for domestic areas where tasks are performed, such as kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms where a simulated natural, outdoor light is preferred

Perfect for industrial and healthcare applications where a cool, invigorating light is required

LEDS EXPLAINED Technology has progressed further, to a point where there is a direct LED equivalent to existing halogen and incandescent lamps. The future is bright too; new technology will see brighter LEDs using even less power than they currently do

Filament The strips of phosphor have tiny LED chips embedded inside. When they are lit, they shine in a similar way to the original incandescent lamps. They are perfect for products with crystal and opal or clear glass shades

BATHROOM & OUTDOOR REGULATIONS Choosing bathroom lighting is not just about the style. It is also about the safe installation and use of the right product in the correct location

B a th r oom Zo nes The positioning of each light will determine whether your fitting is placed within zone 1 or zone 2. Any IP20 rated light can be used outside these zones. Note: all lights to be fitted in a bathroom or shower room must be supplied with a 30mA RCD, in accordance with IEE regulations
