THESIS
Redevelopment of a wellness center, with implementation of the principles of feng-shui philosophy
the story
Lushnjë is an Albanian municipality located in the prefecture of Fier, in the western part of Albania. Founded, according to tradition, by a widow named Salushe, the present city has a population of about 58,000 inhabitants. As an inhabited center Lushnje was created in the 15th century with the name "Lusme". The first documentation on the inhabitants of the city, counted by the Turks, was officially published in 1431. Myzeqeja had 33 countries and 58 families and the town of Lushnje 15 houses and 100 inhabitants.
In 1850 Lushnje took his current name. The city began to stand out as a true city starting in 1970 when it left Berat. In January 1920, Lushnjë was the venue of the Lushnjë Congress. The delegates assembled in the city and declared Tirana capital.
They used to call the ‘city of plastic’ because once upon a time there was a Factory where they use to produce it. It used to has a lot of palm trees and it was basically a garden city. Now, after 1997 from the urbanistic point of view, is a messy city with o lot of confusing enviroment. There are barely hospitals, and streets are dirty and left on their own fate.
What is still preserved from the comunism era is:
After the comunism fall the Abdurrahman Stadium Roza Haxhiu urbanism and architecture Theater Vaçe Zela changed drastically. They Lushnjë Catholic Church begun contructions without anyLushnja Mosque technical support and without Congress Museum of Lushnjë being aware of the damage Lushnjë History Museum Metropol Center that they could cost to the city.Blerimi Resort the builing for the renovation Today this city is barely one.
the concept
According to the fengshui chart and the harmony between lines the idea came respecting the feng shiu tradition and the open space that it was before. The building place is in middle and it present the yang energies. And the idea to have a wellness center and a place to relax (yin) came perfectly.
Feng shui is one of the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics, classified as physiognomy (observation of appearances through formulas and calculations). The feng shui practice discusses architecture in terms of "invisible forces" that bind the universe, earth, and humanity together, known as qi. Historically, feng shui was widely used to orient buildings—often spiritually significant structures such as tombs, but also dwellings and other structures—in an auspicious manner. Depending on the particular style of feng shui being used, an auspicious site could be determined by reference to local features such as bodies of water, or stars or the compass. The history of feng shui covers 3,500+ years before the invention of the magnetic compass. It originated in Chinese astronomy. Some current techniques can be traced to Neolithic China, while others were added later (most notably the Han dynasty, the Tang, the Song, and the Ming). The astronomical history of feng shui is evident in the development of instruments and techniques. According to the Zhouli, the original feng shui instrument may have been a gnomon. This technique provided the more precise alignments of the Shang walls at Yanshi and Zhengzhou. Rituals for using a feng shui instrument required a diviner to examine current sky phenomena to set the device and adjust their position in relation to the device. The oldest examples of instruments used for feng shui are liuren astrolabes, also known as shi. These consist of a lacquered, two-sided board with astronomical sightlines. The earliest examples of liuren astrolabes have been unearthed from tombs that date between 278 BC and 209 BC. Along with divination for Da Liu Ren the boards were commonly used to chart the motion of Taiyi through the nine palaces. The markings on a liuren/shi and the first magnetic compasses are virtually identical. The magnetic compass was invented for feng shui and has been in use since its invention. Traditional feng shui instrumentation consists of the Luopan or the earlier south-pointing spoon (指南針 zhinan zhen)—though a conventional compass could suffice if one understood the differences. A feng shui ruler (a later invention) may also be employed.

The Sassi are houses dug into the calcarenitic rock itself, which is characteristic of Basilicata and Apulia, locally called "tufo" although it is not volcanic tuff or tufa. The streets in some parts of the Sassi often run on top of other houses. The ancient town grew up on one slope of the ravine created by a river that is now a small stream. ALL IN ONE The path for the double-spa-room creates emotion in movement. The entrance is characterized with a large hidromassage pool, (metal elements, circle) near an arch bench which follows the movement of the pool and a wall division that separates it from the restroom, which is not divided by the rest of the place. Follows an emotional shower (water) and a sauna (steam earth) The path from room to room is an emotional swing which is what we humans are. This is to create a fantastic sensational feeling and to relax the whole being. The lines that follows the paths are lights which give the element fire to the room. The chinese Feng Shui tradition, is divided by the YING and YANG, active and passive, both of the energies are part of the room. It creates the YANG atmosphere and the YING, which is the bedroom.

RESTAURANT dESIGN OF A bEACH RESAURANT IN DURRES, ALBANIA city> Durres, ALBANIA
interior designer details graphic design
site location Durrës was founded by ancient Greek colonists from Corinth and Corfu under the name of Epidamnos around the 7th century BC on the coast of the Illyrian Taulantii.[3] Later known as Dyrrachium, it essentially developed to become significant as it became an integral part of the Roman Empire and its successor the Byzantine Empire. The Via Egnatia, the continuation of the Via Appia, started in the city and led across the interior of the Balkan Peninsula to Constantinople in the east. Durrës is served by the Port of Durrës, one of the largest on the Adriatic Sea, which connects the city to Italy and other neighbouring countries. Its most considerable attraction is the Amphitheatre of Durrës that is included on the tentative list of Albania for designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once having a capacity for 20,000 people, it is the largest amphitheatre in the Balkan Peninsula.

p com etition Comieco, the National Consortium for Recovery and Recycling of Paper and Board Packaging, worked in group MANSIONS> with a graphic designer rome 10.12.2010 CONCEPT ,MODEL ANDREA OQUENDO
NOTICE OF COMPETITION PAPER AND BOARD EXPOPACK AWARD OBJECT OF THE AWARD Comieco, the National Consortium for Recovery and Recycling of Paper and Board Packaging, supported by Expo 2015, hereby launches a Competition for design of a paper and board Pack representing Expo 2015, acting as a “mascot” container and working at the same time as an information medium and a container for food and/or beverages. For example, cups with the Fluvi logo were distributed during Expo in Zaragoza on the theme “Water as an element for sustainable development”; during Expo 2015, a pack (plate, bag, wrap, etc.) referring to the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” could be handed out to visitors, thus providing a medium/object that can be used during the visit and taken home as a souvenir. Therefore the Expo Pack can be designed to take home some of the food products discovered at Expo, or used as a portable plate with a utensil and glass holder to taste and discover the foodstuffs available at Expo. A preliminary selection of participants shall be performed by the Organizing Secretariat upon examining the submitted documents and ensuring that the requirements stated in the call for competition are in place. Any applications that are incomplete or miss part of the requested information, as well as those that are not supported by the necessary documents, shall be deemed non‐eligible. However, the evaluating Commission reserves the right to request additional documents and/or information to integrate the application. The Commission shall examine the submitted works based on the following evaluation criteria: ‐ ability to generate process, product, or service innovation, ‐ functionality during Expo, ‐ look, ‐ originality, ‐ product modularity for different uses, ‐ evaluation of possible environmental benefits. The product shall be mostly made of paper and board. Any additional materials shall be accepted, provided they do not prevail over paper and allow subsequent product recycling and/or composting, pursuant to the technical rules in force upon the publication of this notice. The submitted projects shall be original and undisclosed, expressly developed for this competition. Any non‐compliance with such requirements shall result into the exclusion from the competition or, if such non‐compliance is recognized at a later stage, the annulment – at the sole discretion of the selecting commission – of any assigned acknowledgements (with duty to return any amounts received)

PROJECT PRESENTATION The comieco competition concept came from an ancient Japanese art called ORIGAMI, that works with simple sheets of paper, animals, plants, and variegated figures to take shape and articulate. Therefore, there is no better source of inspiration for a theme that puts paper and cardboard at the center of its design to pursue an eco-compatibility project. The object will not express itself separately; it generates from a central fulcrum, divided into four hollow polyhedral parts. The design symbolizes a rare identity and wants to symbolize the natural elements like the star, the flower, which have the principle of production and creation of energy and life inherent in them. Naturally, from one point, the four outline elements that are the constitutive and functional elements of the object in question develop, come to life, and blossom like petals, even in the actual creative process. For this star shape and for the principles that give rise to its strength, it is also ideal for occupying the X's place in the Expo logo. The essential element is flanked by another, the same and inverted, with a center hole. In its practical application, it closes it by going over it, acting as a lid. The object thus proves to be suitable for the assigned function of the food pack for various reasons. It has four large spaces that accommodate multiple portions of foods and transport them comfortably because thanks to the lid; The container can be grip easily. Therefore, the object comprises two parts, each of which is characterized by a straightforward creative process. We start from a 1mm thick sheet of cardboard (waterproofed) with a square shape for each one. The first, which forms the base element, is 45x45 cm2, and the second, which forms the lid, is 48x48 cm2. The procedure is the same: the four corners fold towards the center; Turn the sheet over and fold the four corners back to the center. The fingers insert inside the four quadrants formed, and after folding the sheet in four, into the respective polyhedral-shaped, the elements formed are the containers. In addition to having the requirements of functionality, speed, and simplicity of execution, the creative process has a robust and playful component, it is a game for children, and due to these characteristics, it could be suitable for opening small workshops within an exhibition that it will become so interactive that those who wish, especially children, can create and decorate their container. The lid, equipped with four wings that it is easy to lift, makes it possible to note the food taken. Thanks to the various spaces with which the container is equipped, it can also accommodate cutlery. ROME 10/12/2010
