May Newsle*er Happy May everyone!! With the warm weather arriving please be prepared to start sending you r child with sunscreen on. We will be going outside in the early mornings very soon, and will not have <me to go in and put sunscreen on. Please apply sunscreen to your child prior to drop off. We also require a bo@le of sunscreen to be supplied for your child to keep in the centre for aCernoon play. When the UV is at 3 or higher sunscreen is a MUST! Hats are also going to be required so please send one labelled with your child’s name. Recently we have been receiving texts and facebook messages on both the centre phone and personal cell phones from parents leLng us know that their children will be late or absent. This is not an acceptable form of communica<on. Please call the centre and speak with a staff member or leave a message so it can be properly documented. We would like to remind all parents that healthy lunches are very important. Children need a balanced diet in order to be ac<ve, healthy and happy all day. We are asking that you DO NOT send full size chocolate bars, bags of chips, or pop. Also please remember that we are a NUT FREE centre, meaning NO nuts of any kind. If your child is showing signs of illness, such as a serious cold, lethargy, fever, vomi<ng, or diarrhea, we ask that you PLEASE keep them home. We understand it is an inconvenience, but it helps us to stop the spread of illness throughout the centre. A final reminder for parents is to please check your child’s pockets, hands etc before they enter the centre. We have had children bringing in money, gum, balloons and various other items. These are unsafe for the centre and cause issues when they are lost or shared. Please do not send personal items that have not been okayed by a teacher. Reminders: • Early closure is Tuesday, May 31st. Pick up by 4pm sharp! Late fees will apply. •

Late pick up fees are to be paid in cash and must be paid before your child can return to the center.

Book orders are due May 16th

We are closed on May 23rd for Victoria Day

“Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn’t have said!” If you have any ques<ons/concerns, please come into the office or call the centre @ 250-793-5437 Janice Gibos - Manager
