Taylor‘s Christmas Light-Up Taylor Town are you ready to light up our Community!!!!! I hope everyone is getting in the spirit of Christmas, and ready to light up our Community! Judges will be touring Taylor on Friday, December 3rd at 7:00pm We will be looking for houses decorated in the finest decorations and will announce the winners of the competition Saturday, December 4th at the Arena. Judges will be looking for LED lights only this year, they will also be looking at your eaves trough, roof, house outline, windows, ledges, trees, objects, effort, design and ‗other‘ as a factor when judging. Judges will also be looking at environmentally friendly methods of decorating you homes and yards. LED lights convert electricity to light without using heat. Each light should last more than 200,000 hours compared to only 1,000 hours for conventional lights. A string of LED lights, like the ones used at the District facilities, cost less than 2 cents to run for 30 days when lit for six hours a day. Conventional lights would cost $3.15 to run for the same length of time. Remember your household can‘t win twice in a row. Saturday December 4th is when the fun of December starts! Peace Community Church will once again host their Annual Christmas Party at the Community Hall from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Don‘t worry because the fun will not stop then! After the Churches Annual Christmas Party the Community Services Department will begin their Christmas Light Up from 7pm - 9pm! Free Skating, Hot Chocolate and family fun will be had by all. Don‘t worry kids Santa has contacted us and he will be attending again this year! He is very excited to hear your Christmas lists.
