COMMERCIAL Falcon Square | Inver ness, Scotland About Pod Architects have been appointed by Scoop AM LLP, on behalf of Eastgate Unit Trust, to develop the design and regeneration of the Eastgate shopping centre and Falcon Square, the surrounding town square in the heart of Inverness city. Proposal The Masterplan for the development of Falcon Square is made up of 4 dierent proposals: 1. Filling Station - An extension to a grade II listed building, creating a new restaurant to serve Falcon Square. 2. Listed Building Change of Use 3. Eastgate Shopping Centre - Extension to the retail units on the main elevation of the shopping centre, providing 3 new Food & Beverage units, and an additional 5 retail units. 4. Rooftop Bar - A new rooftop bar on the top of the mall, taking advantage of views of River Ness.

My Role - Assisted in the preparation of the design and access statement for all three proposals. - Assisted in the drafting of all existing and proposed Filling Station drawings. - Drafting masterplan strategy to deal with protected trees on Falcon Square. - Produced accurate 3D models and marketing images for the scheme. - Sourcing technical details and material specifications for facade extension.

C O M M E R C I A L - Enes Osmani as Lead Designer Moneycor p Retail Units | Gatwick Air por t South Ter minal, England About A new retail unit for Moneycorp is one of the projects that POD Architects have been appointed to design, as part of the retail development of Gatwick Airport. Proposal The design provides three retail units with a lightweight structure referencing its location to preserve the site lines from mezzanine level. One of the three units will be provided to Moneycorp, the other two will be let out.
My Role - Drafting several options to overcome sightline based constraints. - Sketching initial options and internal layout strategies. - Drafting of all plans, sections and elevations. - Sourcing technical details and material specifications. - Producing key drawings for the sprinkler system - Delivery of design document.

COMMERCIAL Competition - Langley Vale Wood Visitor Hub | Epsom, England About The vision is for a building that reflects the act of coming together at the heart of the woods inviting the visitor to feel part of the wider Centenary Woods project. The landscape and the building create spaces for activities to take place – whether enjoying a picnic, viewing the exhibitions, resting after a long walk or simply enjoying the views and natural landscape that Langley Vale has to oer.
My Role - Assisted in concept development. - Delivery of key visual - Drafting of masterplan strategy.
Result The project succeeded in the top 20 shortlist out of 237 entries.

MIXED USE Church Walk Retail and Residential | Sur rey, England
About The local council believed that this vast area of 1950’s retail space opposite the central train station needed a revamp. The solution was to redevelop the local retail area keeping the character of the town of Caterham, which lies just a commuters distance away from London. in addition to a refreshed retail arcade, new affordable flats were introduced on four additional floors. Proposal 1. Masterplan of 1 hectare site. 2. Redevelopment of existing retail arcade. 3. Parking strategy below ground. 4. Four additional floors of flats above retail.
My Role - Assisted in the drawing of all constraints and opportunity diagrams. - Delivery of design and access statement submissions for the above proposal to local council. - Produced 3D models and visuals for the scheme. - Assisted in the arrangement diagrams of flats

MIXED USE Evesham Retail and Residential | Worcester shire, England About The local council had been looking for ways to rejuvenate the retail hub of Evesham town centre. The proposal would implement an improved urban strategy to bring a new lease of life to the ageing town. The scheme was to provide living, shopping and eating spaces as well as encourage tourism within the town centre. Proposal 1. Masterplan for 4 hectare site. 2. Two types of care home on ground and first floors. 3. Large apartments with roof gardens on upper three floors. 4. Large retail units on ground floor.
My Role - Assisted in the drawing of 8 options/ arrangement sketches for a combination of care home, retail and residential. - Assisted on work on client documents. - Assisted on 3D massing models. - Produced 3D models and visuals for the scheme. - Drafted plans from surveyors dimensions.

RESIDENTIAL Shrewsbur y Student Housing | Shrewsbur y, England About POD Architects are appointed by the Morris Guildhouse Student Partnership to design the student accommodation for the University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS). Planning permission was submitted within four months of appointment and was granted permission within an eight week deliberation timetable by committee. Proposal The masterplan provides 217 student bedrooms set as a dormitory layout with security, laundry, management facilities and post graduate bedrooms. The complex is placed into an urban landscaped garden providing a new green space in the town centre.
My Role: - Assisted in the drafting of all plans, sections and elevation drawings across 4 options. - Delivery of design and access statement submissions for the above proposal to Shrewsbury Council. - Assisted in submitting visuals for planning submission. - Assisted in construction details and specifications for partitions and facade treatment.
