destinaction
Space is where culture takes place. The most important part of the culture of knowledge-based workspaces is creativity. Creativity is the key to moving forward, catching opportunities and creating opportunities. In the provision of creativity, spaces as well as personality have a driving force. Contribution of the fields of study is the communication, which is the way that motivation and different ideas can be obtained. Aiming to be the place that event happens, destinaction provides transparency, eliminates superiorsubordinate relationship, provides the opportunity to meet and learn by gathering different behaviours in an open space.

existing as superimposition... the approach of preserve is to see at the very first end. beyond maintaining visual elements, it is keeping the story of the building.
In the making of adaptive reuse project Code, which is functioned school of art, beyond revealing memories only with visual sculpture, it is intended to be a refresher, also telling the story of the building by preserving the total layout of the plan. In this way, a new superimposition is produced which strengthened the relation to the new function to be processed into the structure. It is aimed to see the first ones seen in the building after the building was over. Among its definitions, “dissolving different ideas in a pot, it is wanted to spark creativity, by emphasizing the importance of relationships. Connecting users with a holistic design, it was aimed to experience users with diversity in terms of space and structure. Along with the transparent and preservative epoch, the steel which evokes the lightness and the transience is selected as the building material. The approach that seeks not to fill the construction in a heavy and disruptive manner has been followed. Glass for transparency, easy-workable wood, a natural material for surfaces that have been used. The additional parts were considered not to attach to the existing structure, present the past uninterrupted.

Structural elements that strengthen diversity include mezzanine, underground, galleries, amphitheatre, enclosed units, floating units; circulation elements, ramps, staircases, bridges and roof navigation platforms. These volumes were met, separated or intersected. This attitude, which is required to experience the user into different atmospheres, overlaps with the rotating and unpredictable perspective of the building. The undefined gaps, surfaces, lines were drawn to users, where they could make something of themselves and make a difference. Thus, a dynamic life that always evolves and evokes unfinished has been revealed.

atelier kumkapÄą
Kumkapı, where minorities lived and settled their own cultures throughout the centuries, this culture is now close to disappear. Atelier kumkapı is a workshop structure that returns Kumkapı’s history with today’s methods. The building is included into the silhouette described by the gradually rising topography starting from the beach so as not to go out of the existing building contours. The workshop building is intended to be a display facing the coast and also viewed from the beach. A transparent, welcoming, dynamic façade interface is used to obscure the distinction between exterior and interior space to enable meeting and involvement. In the master plan proposal, commuter train route is considered as a recreation area and a bicyclewalking trail.
