This month we are excited to showcase Stace and Danielle’s gorgeous wedding as photographed by Perspectives Photo + Cinema. We love the amazing colour of Danielle’s dress (Stace knew the colour theme for the wedding was turquoise, but had no idea Danielle was wearing a coloured dress!), as well as the amazing night shots... Enjoy!

Don’t forget the
MILK We talk with Juliana from MILK Photo Books about their new website and gorgeous Photo Books
Tell us a little bit about MILK books. MILK Books is a new website that allows anyone to create their own beautiful and custom-made fabric-covered albums and photo books. Simply upload your photos to www.milkbooks.com, place them in our easy-to-use design templates, add your captions and click the print button. Your gorgeous custom-made album or photo book will be delivered to your door within days. There are a number of different photo books in the market today - what makes MILK books different from the rest? The company behind MILK Books is award-winning book publishers PQ Blackwell, who is renowned for their beautiful coffee table photography books. With MILK Books, anyone can create their own exquisite photo book or album to this same high quality standard, including lie-flat binding, acid-free matte art paper, The website’s unique editor tool also brings a new technological
dimension to the photo book market. Users can choose from a range of pre-existing editorial and design templates to create their book, and can even add videos to create a digital version of their book that can be shared online via email or social media. Another great feature of www.milkbook.com is the Collaboration tool, meaning users can invite friends and family in any location to act as Guest Editors. Guest Editors can add their own photos, make suggestions, or leave notes for the creator, meaning that anyone can help you create your book, wherever they are. What are the advantages of a photobook compared to a more traditional album? Photobooks allow the bride and groom to personalise their album or photobook in ways that aren’t possible with traditional albums. A MILK photobook or album gives you endless more options in terms of layout, colour and text options, meaning you can create your book exactly how want, without the restrictions of a pre-made album. MILK Books are also printed on acid-free paper, and are delivered in a linen-bound presentation box, meaning your photos and memories from your special day will be captured and preserved for years to come. How difficult is it to do the layout of your book? Not difficult at all! The team of designers and editors at MILK Books have created range of ready-to-use design and editorial frameworks, meaning all you need to is select a theme for your book and upload your photos into the pre-existing templates,
How much flexibility is there in creating the layout? There are many different image layout options to choose from you, meaning you can choose to have anywhere between 1-9 images on a page. There is also the option for text to be added to your book, so you are able to add stories, special moments, vows or quotes to tell the story of your special day. There is on site quote library that can be used throughout your book wherever you wish, as well as several different font options and colour palettes. One thing that people often have trouble deciding is what shape book they should do. Are there any particular advantages/disadvantages to having a square or rectangular book? Although the large format rectangle albums are typically used for Wedding Albums, the small format square photo books still have many great uses for other occasions leading up to, or after your wedding – such as wedding guest books, as gifts for parents or friends, or to commemorate a bridal shower or engagement party. The square books start at 20 pages and are quick and easy to make, and inexpensive compared to the large rectangular books, so are a great alternative to consider. Pricing: as a rough guide, what is the average cost of your customers’ wedding albums? Our 60 page, 13x11” Photo Albums start at approx. $200. Your Photo Album will be delivered in a beautiful linen presentation box, and includes a digital version of your book on a disc, mounted into the back of the book. You have the option of adding up to 140 additional pages, and can choose from 7 linen fabric covers. The smaller photo books start at $50.
When planning their book, is there anything that people should people think about? The great thing about making a photobook online is the ability to change your book as you go – whether it’s reshuffling pages, changing colour palette and fonts, or deleting pages at any stage throughout the creation of their book. If brides or grooms ever need any help with their Wedding album or photobook, the team at MILK Books is more then happy to help. Just get in touch with us at weddings@ milkbooks.com and we will do whatever we can to help you create the perfect wedding album or photo book.
