What’s New Health & Beauty Survey We would love you to be part of the 2012 Weddings.co.nz Health & Beauty Survey that we are running in conjunction with Liz K Body Transformation Studio. With this survey, we aim to understand how New Zealand brides view their body image and any changes that they want to make for their wedding and beyond. Explain to us what the Retro Rocket is. The Retro Rocket is a central hub for all types of occasions and particularly weddings in outdoor situations. The Rocket provides the platform with power generation,3 keg taps with full refrigeration, lighting, sound and Mini marquees that can be expanded on depending on the occasion. So let me get this right, the Retro Rocket is not only a mobile bar, but it can also be used for food, music, and even has a photobooth. Is there anything that it canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t do? Thatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s right! WarnerAir Event Services has created the ultimate one stop party shop that is the party starter and beyond.

What type of weddings have you found are suited to using the Retro Rocket? The Rocket can be a central piece for those retro style events that require this look, or a workhorse humming away in the background pouring beer, cider, or wine, with all the requirements that remote settings desire all in one unit. For weddings, what is the pricing structure? Does it depend on what is included or are there set packages? All Events have different requirements and are at different stages of planning. Discussion of the requirements is key, and with so many options available, a fixed price cannot be given without understanding the clientâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s vision.

Whereabouts is the Retro Rocket available? Generally in the greater Auckland Area, however we are traveling to Terrace Downs as the second bar at Rhythum & Alps so anywhere is possible One aspect of having weddings at beaches or public grounds that people often get a bit concerned about is the need for liquor licensing. Are you able to supply bartenders and help with any liquor licensing requirements? The Rocket is part of the WarnerAir Event Services Company and provides all areas of consenting and licensing. Are staff always supplied or can people â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;manâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; it themselves? Staff are always provided. Are people able to provide their own alcohol and catering? Dependent again on the event and the stage the organising is at a rental package is available or fully catered option available.

is often seen as a stopover for flights heading to other parts of Asia or Europe. However, it has so much to offer itself that we would highly recommend it as a destination in and of itself. The city is a brilliant mix of both traditional and contemporary, whether it be shopping, food or architecture. It is full of surprises and will ensure that your trip will never be boring.

Shopping Shopping is one of the main attractions of Hong Kong. Whether you are after high-end boutiques or want to bargain your way with some street vendors, it has it all. Here are some of our favourite shopping districts, each with its own flavour:

Tsim Sha Tsui If there is one place to visit to get a wide selection of shopping styles, Tsim Sha Tsui is it. There are stalls, shops, markets and malls catering to all budgets. The “golden Mile” may be busy, but you it is worth it for the eclectic range of Bollywood-themed memorabilia, Shanghainese tailors, sweet-talking restaurant touts, gorgeous gems and jewellery, flashy cameras, international brand name stores and Asian street label boutiques. Once you’ve had enough of the hustle and bustle in the street, you can head into one of the spacious and plush malls, including iSQUARE, The One and K11. If you are keen to sample the best the world has to offer in luxury goods, you can hop over to Canton Road. Here you’ll find the world’s well-known luxury brands as well as Harbour City, Hong Kong’s biggest shopping mall.

Mong Kok Mong Kok is pretty busy, but don’t let that scare you off. It may be congested, but it is worth heading to if only to people watch. The shopping isn’t bad either with loads of shopping streets, each with their own theme. It is also home to the popular Ladies’ Market (more on that below). There are entire streets dedicated to the sale of goldfish, flowers, birds, sneakers, kitchenware and wedding dresses. Haggling is the norm on Mong Kok, whether it be over your everyday household items, or luxury goods. You can pick up

electronics, cosmetics, the latest western fashion and accessories.

Ladies’ Market The Ladies’ Market is one of the most popular in Hong Kong. Stretching over a kilometre, there are over a hundred stalls of bargain clothing, accessories and souvenirs. The market gets its name from the huge amount of clothing and accessories on sale for women of all ages. However, it is not just for the ladies - there are also watches, bags, home furnishings, CDs on offer.

Temple Street Night Market Even when the sun goes down, there is no shortage of shopping available for the keen. In fact, it is often even more pleasant, as the nights are a little cooler. Temple Street night Market is a popular street bazaar and is home to hundreds of street stalls selling everything from trinkets to tea ware, electronics to watches. There are also plenty of food stalls to keep your energy up with local delights on offer such as claypot rice, seafood and noodles.

Other things to do: Hong Kong is not all about shopping; there are loads of other activities to keep you busy on your honeymoon.

Hong Kong Disneyland If you are after a bit of Disney magic, Hong Kong has you covered with it’s Disneyland, which offers everything you know and love about the American theme park. It even has an experience developed especially for Hong Kong, the Grizzly Gulch where you hop on the Big Grizzly Mountain “Runaway Mine Cars” and embark on an out-of-control runaway journey throughout a spectacular and amazing wilderness landscape. There are even two Disney-themed hotels where you can stay

to be close to the action. Enjoy a fabulous international buffet with Disney characters and be on the lookout for Goofy who drops by the hotel pool now and again for a refreshing dip. Year-round special events Hong Kong Disneyland celebrates every season with a unique mix of attractions and entertainment designed for both Chinese and Western occasions, such as the Chinese New Year Celebrations, Disney’s Haunted Halloween, Sparkling Christmas and summer events. If you hate the idea of waiting in queues to get on rides, there is no need to worry. With Disneyland’s Fastpass, you can save your place in line while you continue to enjoy the park. Insert your park admission ticket into Disney’s Fastpass stations at participating attractions to receive a time. Then you can leave and simply return when it’s your turn.

The Peak No trip to Hong Kong would be complete without a visit The Peak. The highest point on Hong Kong Island, The Peak is the Cityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most exclusive neighbourhood. The same view the provides this exclusivity is also what makes it an amazing place to visit. You can witness the spectacular cityscape and the bustling Victoria Harbour and, at night, it transforms into a see of twinkling lights shimmering below you.

The Food The thing with Hong Kong is that there are so many different types of cuisine on offer that you will always be covered. Whether it be gourmet dining or delicious street food, it is all there for you. Wherever you are in Hong Kong, youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll have a huge choice of both inexpensive street food as well as high quality restaurants.

While Hong Kong has so much on offer from shopping to world-renowned tourist attractions, it is the whole experience that makes it one of our favourite destinations. You can easily spend a morning just wandering the streets people watching, enjoying the general hustle and bustle of this busy Asian city. It has a perfect blend of the traditional Chinese background, with the new modern Hong Kong.
